my 10 month old still has 4 or 5 breast feeds during the day and wakes for one feed at night around 2am. She just doesnt seen satisfied after this feed recently at all won't go back to sleep or settle in any way afterwards - it os nearly 4am now, she woke at 2 and will not go back - my older kids will bevup at 6 I am so tired!

Anyway I was thinking of tryin her on a bottle of milk ( she will takea bottle of water but that doesnt settle her) - if I want to give her milk at he 2am feed but keep breastfeeding her the other feeds woukd I need ti buy formula it could I now give her cows milk since she's still having mostly breast milk?

I would go with cows milk if you are still giving the main feeds as breastmilk. Try it during the day first so you know that she can tolerate it before you give it in the middle of the night.

At 10 months I would just cut out the night feed.

I am going to try and give her milk today. I would like to cut out the night feed but DD doesn't seem to keen on the idea!

cows milk would be ok, goats milk would be gentler on her tummy and tastes closer to bm

ok first night giving her a bottle seemed to go well, she only drank about a quarter of it as she seemed to get full really quickly but then she only normally has a short feed at night :).
she slept a whole 5 hours I think the longest ever for her!
