My 16 month old son will not drink any cows milk ( unlike his 2 older brother 3 &4) He will only drink juice and breastfeed from me. I know he is not getting enough milk as he should do as I only feed him twice a day and he only feed a total of 10-15mins all day! Please has anyone any suggestions of how to get him to drink milk???? thanks

Stop giving him juice, for starters.

Feeding twice a day at 16 months is fine - please don't stress about how much milk he's having, he'll take more if he needs it.

I think he might be getting enough tbh. At this age my DD was drinking milk from a cup but she had dropped down to 2 cups of milk a day. And in 10-15 is all some children feed for: it's a question of efficiency.
Does anything else make you think he is not getting enough milk?

If you continue to worry, how about giving him food with milk in: macaroni cheese, fish pie with lots of white sauce, cauliflower cheese, yoghurt, rice pudding etc.

have you tried offering milk in a cup? no need for a bottle at that age.

Cheese is your friend Smile and other calcium rich food if your worried. DS would never touch cows milk or formula so once he was off the boob he had water and fruit juices and lots of yogurt and cheeses and so forth. He still dislikes milk now and is 7 although he will now have some on cereal.
