DS is just over 4 months and ff comfort milk. He is meant according to the guide 5 feeds in a day. DS however sleeps through his second feed- sleeping from 10.30-12.30. He really needs this sleep as we aren't too keen on napping so this is massive progress.

He sleeps from anywhere between 9.30-10.15pm till 6.30/7.00am. I realise we are very lucky.
So this missed bottle, we are always playing catch up and he will not feed if less than 3 hours preferring 4.5.
He is not losing weight but will triple check on Thurs.

Any ideas/ anyone in a similar situation?
I know the pack guide is just a guide but I'm being a tad pfb syndrome at the moment Blush

TIA Many Thanks

It's just a guide so try not to get too stressed. It sounds like he has settled into a "routine" where he is getting all he needs.

DOn't forget that babies can't read what they are supposed to be doing WinkSmile

Don't look at it in terms of number of feeds but volume over 24 hours. How much is he having?

As long as he is putting on weight consistently then he is getting enough. The guide is just that, and will not be right for all babies.

Thank you, I know rationally he is fine but hormones and it's getting late, my poor brain.
He's having 7 ounces. Leaves 3 has a few minutes break then carries on.
these babe's eh? This is a recent thing.
My next question is how do I get his bedtime earlier? Do I just put him down and presumably he wakes or i wake him for 9pm feed?
Sorry I feel a bit clueless.

i agree with the other posters. The guide on the side of the tin is just that, a guide. Some babies will want more, some less and both are ok.

So long as he is gaining weight appropriately it is fine.

My dd was doing about 7-8oz every 4 hours during the day at that age and was just fine with it. Agree about the volume over 24 hour period too. DD was averaging 32-36oz which was just fine.
