Hello

Can you give me suggestions please? DF's sight is no longer good enough for reading so I have set him up an audible account which I load with books but he is racing through them! I have found with his Alzheimer's he gets lost unless it's a fairly simple 20th century onwards book. This is what he has listened to and enjoyed recently:

The painted veil
The great Gatsby
Gilbert Pinfold
A town like Alice
Jamaica Inn

Didn't like

Vile Bodies
A passage to India

I'm running out of ideas, Graham Greene too complex do you think?

John Irving's early work is very listenable. I think it works very well as audio books. john-irving.com/the-books-of-john-irving/ (HIs later work gets longer and more complicated.)

My mother has dementia and after she was unable to read she really enjoyed colouring, which can be stress relieving and very relaxing - adult mandala could be a good idea:-
