DS (5yo) will be very, very happy to hear there is another poopy dinosaur book. He thinks the Christmas one is the best thing ever. Granny, on the other hand, is horrified.

Just setting myself a reminder to review- really looking forward to the book. The Dinosaur that pooped Christmas is a favourite in this house...

Wohoo! It arrived this morning and I'm pleased that it lives up to its predecessor. It's got dinosaurs, space, and poo, which covers a large portion of my 4 year old daughter's favourite things.

The illustrations are funny (and even my otherwise quite pedantic-about-dinosaurs husband did not go all huffy about them being all wrong), and the rhymes are just joyful. You can see how they looked how far they could push it, and they succeed. I really enjoyed it and may end up buying in bulk for the forthcoming kids' birthday parties season.

We got our book this morning and after the 15 mins or so of laughter at the word poop!! We were able to read it together. My son has Autism so keeping his attention on a task is really hard and he has to be really interested in it to keep on task. From start to finish he sat and listened to the whole book!! It's very funny and both my sons loved it. The illustrations are bright and cheerful and caught my 2 yr olds attention throughout. It's a great book and I think we will be getting the Christmas one now too!!!

We really loved this book
The children and I were laughing so much. Not just at the book but also my attempts at trying to day the tongue twister type lines.
Great illustrations bright and colourful.
Think we will be getting another for Xmas
Thanx again for the book it was a treat.

We got ours this morning and it was a lovely surprise. I haven't read the previous book but will look out for it now. We love the bright bold illustrations and rhyming text and of course dinosaurs and space in one book with added poo! What's not to like. Thank you again from another happy family.

Thank you so much for a free copy and it arrived this morning. I am not sure who was more excited me or my children. We read it immediately and it did not disappoint. What a fantastic story about a dinosaur and poo, with some brilliant illustrations as well. We have read the book numerous times already today and I think it has become my children's favourite story. I will definitely now be having a look out for the 'Dinosaur pooped on Christmas' book. Thank you once again. smile

Received today and read at bedtime, which was perhaps a daft choice as DD laughed so much she had crazy hiccups. It's the first time a book has given her the giggles like that! We both loved it and I'm sure DH will when it's his turn to read tomorrow. I'll get the Xmas one too I think

This is a must-read book for any kid that likes dinosaurs, space or poo and also for any Mcfly fans. It's beautifully written in rhyme and the illustrations are excellent.

I'm tempted to save this to give to my son at christmas but I'm sure I'll cave in before then as I can't wait for him to read it!

Thank you very much!

Mine has arrived too, thank you. I haven't read the Christmas one either but this has lovely rhyming verse which is great to read aloud. The illustrations are bright and bold and it's good fun. Lots of poop as the title suggests! I have managed not to show Ds yet as I thought he'd like it for Christmas. Whether I manage to keep it a secret til then, I'm not so sure...

Ours came at the weekend, thankyou! I thought it was revolting, but my 4 y.o. and 6 y.o. thought it was hilarious, and wanted it repeating as soon as it had finished.

I will look out for the Xmas one.

Thank you so much for the copy. We loved it. My little one is still young but rather poo obsessed, and loves the page in which we shout "POO". Reading stories over and over again is sometimes monotonous, but I don't think we will get bored of this one.

I enjoyed the tongue twisters and clever phrases. The animation is bright and eye catching. It is also really funny. Both DH and I hooted with laughter.

I think it's great for any kids who love dinosaurs and space. I imagine that my nephews (5 and 6) will want to get their hands on this book and would really enjoy it.

Lovely pictures and great rhymes most of the time. The rhyme with museum put me off a bit! Husband isn't too keen on the subject matter, but I'm sure it'll bring plenty of giggles when I read with my nieces.

I received a copy of this book and must admit it is brilliant. It is great for children of all ages and boys and girls. I also loved the story and my daughter aged 5 and myself were in fits of giggles. This is a unique book and I intend to purchase the other dinosaur adventures. This book should be in the top 10 of books you must read!!!

We received this on Saturday and really enjoyed it. I hadn't come accross the previous one but will be looking out for it now. The illustration is lovely, and the rhyming story is wonderful. Both boys laughed and laughed. DS1 said it was disgusting and brilliant, DS2 giggled and snuggled to listen to the entire story (that's a first!) I would thoroughly recommend this and am buying another copy for my friends little boy who will be 4 next month

We received this on Saturday and really enjoyed it. We hadn't come across the previous one but will be looking out for it now. The illustrations are lovely, and the rhyming story is wonderful. Shouting out POO was a highlight for my daughter!

Emrel Mon 07-Oct-13 14:42:58

Received it on Saturday and read it during the weekend. What toddler does not love Dinosaurs, rockets and most of all poo!
The rhymes are very satisfying for a grown up and my 4 year old was perfectly capable, my two year old could follow the story from the pictures.
And Nanna and myself enjoyed ourselves. My one criticism: with the amount of poo I felt that using the word poop was a bit to cutesy.
Who knows maybe it will inspire my two year old to potty train.

runningincircles Mon 07-Oct-13 17:51:48

Wow what a great book! The pictures are really engaging, the story is funny. All 3 of my kids (2,3 and 8) enjoyed this story. My eldest loves dinosaurs and middle child is potty training, so it was a big hit.
Lots of laughs and giggles were had by us all. We will be buying the other book.
Thanks very much.

KatieCelf Mon 07-Oct-13 20:06:07

I received mine yesterday, we'd been on hols over the weekend. I thought it was great! So funny! I'd not heard of the 1st book so I didn't really know what to expect. But my OH and DS really enjoyed it too! DS is too young to appreciate the sheer amount of poo in the book, but I'm sure as he gets a bit older he'll love it! As it is he likes the dinosaur a lot, he's only 18 months. But I really recommend and I will look out for future editions.

Also, if your LOs enjoy dino books theres a fab book called Albie the Adventurer by Grace Todd which is brilliant and beautifully illustrated. Not so much poo but lots of ROOOAAAWWRS!!!

HazelDormouse Tue 08-Oct-13 15:28:30

My ds thought it was hilarious. He wants the 'Christmas' one now. I will have to find it at the library. I do cringe though when I think of the almighty clean up that will be required after all that pooping. Puts potty training into perspective.

Thank you for a wonderful book.

Hopezibah Tue 08-Oct-13 20:05:52

This is a FABULOUS BOOK! totally the sort of thing my boys love with the poop involved! I really like rhyming books and so that was an added bonus. This is a great book for pre-schoolers with all the pictures right up to age 9 or 10 as my son is still into all things 'poopy'.
