Wedding planning - were you organised or stressed out at last minute

Got engaged at Xmas there
In wedding planning mode 😁😁😁 due to be married in 2020 and so far the venue is booked cake booked and I've seen my dress and let's say that's sorted (payment plan set up to pay for it)

Want to know if anyone else was organised or stressed out at last minute?

I personally want to be more or less organised and less stressed out before the big day

Inwas very busy at first, venue, dress etc but then there's a big lull where there's not much to do until nearer the time when you send out invites then so seating plan and finalise plans and numbers etc. I wasn't rushed or stressed but 4-5 months before it did occur to me that it felt not that much was sorted! We got engaged March 2016 and married April 2017.

I felt like I was really organised the whole way through - but then I hired someone to set evetything up on the day and she was rubbish so ended up feeling totally stressed out and unorganised on the day of the wedding itself! Arghh! to avoid this i'd reocmmend setting up the night before if you can!! Congratulations on your engagement xxx

I was very organised - I am like that with everything else in life though. I had a wedding spreadsheet which detailed everything that needed doing and I had a traffic light system for each thing to show what had been doing, what was in the process of being done and what I was yet to start sorting out at all. Also detailed the prices of everything, deposits paid, final balance due dates etc.

Part of me kind of wished that I hadn't done everything so early on as there was a good few months where I had absolutely nothing to do. But I couldn't have handled the stress of being lastminute.com!
