NB: this opportunity is now closed!
Thank you to everyone who has applied to take part in the Universal Studios review opportunity. We have been inundated with a record number of responses and unfortunately won't be able to contact everyone who replied as a result. If you haven't heard from us by the end of the week, please assume you have not been lucky this time.
Make sure you're following us on all the social channels, and signed up to our weekly newsletter receive future opportunities.

Dear Mumsnet blogger,
We have been asked by the teams at Universal Orlando Resort and Virgin Holidays to find 5 Mumsnet bloggers and their families to travel to Florida this October half term, so get #ReadyForUniversal and #seizetheholiday!
They are looking for bloggers to stay in one of the amazing on-site hotels at Universal Orlando, visit the parks (including the all-new Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park) and then to follow up with a review on their blog. On this complimentary trip, guests will learn more about the exciting benefits families get when travelling to Universal Orlando with Virgin Holidays, such as Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Overview:
Here’s what Universal Orlando Resort has to say:
“For more than 25 years, Universal Orlando Resort has been creating epic holidays for the entire family – incredible experiences that place guests in the heart of powerful stories and adventures.
Universal Orlando’s theme parks – Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure – are home to some of the world’s most exciting and innovative theme park experiences, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley. Universal Orlando’s newly opened third park, Volcano Bay, offers an entirely new water theme park experience for the whole family. The on-site resort hotels, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, are destinations unto themselves. Universal Orlando’s entertainment complex, Universal CityWalk, offers dining and entertainment for every member of the family.
Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled more than 25 new guest experiences since 2010 – powerful attractions, incredible dining opportunities and dramatically themed hotels. Now open is 3-D motion-simulator experience Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon and CityWalk’s newest, unique dining experience, The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen.”
We’d love to hear what the Mumsnet Bloggers have to say about the parks, hotels and overall experience so #seizetheholiday and get #ReadyForUniversal
Obviously this is not a simple blog review and if selected you will need to be a bit flexible with the organisers – we are offering a five night (plus overnight flight home) trip – if you want to apply, you must be completely free for travel dates over October half term (between 20th – 29th October*).

The Package:
Return economy flights (may be indirect)
Accommodation at one of Universal’s on-site hotels for 5 nights
VIP tours of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure
Tickets to all 3 parks
Tickets to one performance of Blue Man Group
Complimentary breakfast vouchers
A dinner at one of Universal’s fabulous dining establishments Airport transfers
Max party size of 5
You will need to arrange and have your own ESTA and chip passport for every member of your family and travel insurance. You will also need to pay for some transportation and for some meals/ drinks.

Content required:
If selected, we will be looking for a minimum of three blog posts about the trip: we will advise on the theme for each post with each blogger (e.g. hotel focused, flight and parks).
All blog posts will then be featured on our widget, appearing on circa 350 blogs across the Mumsnet network. To take part, you'd also need to have the widget on your blog. We'd need you to include a link to Universal Orlando Resort in your blog post (www.universalorlando.co.uk), and you'd need to follow our guidelines for blogger reviews, which will be sent to you in advance.
We also want you to share moments from your trip – this includes posts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat as well as uploading your very own holiday video to your YouTube channel.
You will need to use the hashtags sent to you.
Please note Universal Orlando Resort may well use your blog post on their website and on social media, as well as possibly elsewhere.
If you'd like to be considered for this and can make the dates stated, and understand what’s involved, please add your details here www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/6SLY88V!

We will be in touch with the selected bloggers as soon as possible.

Good luck to everyone!
Thanks, MNHQ

P.S. this opportunity closes on Tuesday at 10am (TBC)
P.P.S. we are expecting this to be very popular with lots of bloggers applying!
P.P.P.S we are happy to consider you again if you applied and/or were successful last year!

*please state if your half term dates fall differently / you have flexibility

I am a teaching assistant and am off work at half term so am available for those dates. We have a 8 & 4 year old, my husband and I. I run a blog with lots of followers especially locally and a very busy Facebook group. I would be so so delighted to be considered for this chance of a life time as we haven't had a holiday for 18 months and one in 2018 is not looking likely. I am happy to do all the social posts and of course lots of blogs and Vlogs! Nikki x

I'm a stay at home parent, blogger, and a huge Harry Potter fan - the studio tour in Watford is amazing but it's my dream to take my family to the Harry Potter world it would be sensational!
I'd be so excited and thrilled to win this opportunity, to blog about it and most of all to see my little boys face light up as he sees all of the sights.

What a brilliant experience! I couldn't help but find myself getting overly excited filling in that form. Who doesn't want to go to the place where dreams come true? No matter how old you are you still feel like a overwhelmed child when Disney is involved!

I am a young granny - and have a ten year old step-granddaughter who I adore. A visit to Orlando with her would make her day a little brighter.

We are a family of five children's ages 9,13 and17 who will be turning 18 in the half term , to be in Univeral Orland and experience Halloween Horror Nights would be a dream come true,we have been following the building and opening of Valcano Bay on the web ,my youngest son want to go on the amazing spider man ride (he has a suite waiting to wear) then meet the main man himself,my daughter is a dab hand at Harry Potter spells so Diagon Alley is right up her street,my older son has dared his dad to ride the rip with him, which he says he will do if we get picked as long as he gets a butter bear after, I turn 50 on the 15th October. As a busy single parent with a stressful professional full time job I would love to be able to do this. My daughters are avid travelers and my eldest daughter (who has Aspergers) also likes to blog herself so would also want to take up the challenge along with mummy. I work with many friends who are professional blogs both in the U.K. and in the USA so can ensure that it gets lots of exposure 😊
