16th Birthday Party

My daughter is turning 16 in September a week after the school term starts so that means doing something at the weekend. I want her to have something special as it is the big one six, do you have any ideas?

Just a note : she only really only wants to invite three other friends but could make up the numbers for a bigger event.

Thanks in advance :)

What are her interests and what's the budget?

Do you have any sort of budget or are you looking to do something inexpensive? Also depends on the sort of thing your dd likes to do.

Some of the girls 'round here like to dress up and go out for a special occasion meai, and then celebrate with a cake. Others like to do something fun - trip to theatre to see a play (or cinema for a film), or maybe something active like zip lining.

If on a budget, just have a lovely meal at home with a few friends, or maybe do a picnic in the park.

But as i said, a lot depends on what sort of things your dd likes.

What does she want to do herself?

And what's your budget?

With just the four girls, you could potentially do something like hire a limo, take it to a fancy restaurant or on a site seeing your of local city of she'd like? Or take the four of them to a theme park for the day? Or VIP trip to the theatre, something like that?

I don't really have a budget set in mind but something below the £200 mark - I thought it reasonable for the four of them.

As for her her interests, she's quite adventurous so she would enjoy the zip-line but her friends aren't very interested in that kind of thing.

We were thinking of going down to London at one point but I didn't know if that was going to be a bit chaotic getting them down there just for a day trip?

Love the ideas, though, Thanks

Why not just let DD and friends have dinner out / cinema or something. And then DD could do Go Ape on her own (with you?) if that's what she would prefer.

I like the sound of that , I'd never heard of Go Ape before but it looks good!

Dinner party at home
Theatre tickets
Afternoon tea at local hotel

London isn't too difficult. Buy a network southeast card to make it cheaper. Places like Covent Garden are good, or South Bank or west end theatre,

Groupon often has good local deals
