Hi all,
My daughter (5) got a new magazine today. She managed to take it up and hide it in her room. I've just found her upstairs with her bedroom lights on reading the magazine after bedtime.
I'm actually a little proud that she managed to plan this, and I think a little independent authority can take you a long way in life. However, she knew she was in the wrong and obviously needs to be disciplined in some way on the matter.
What do you think her punishment should be? I've not done anything except for taking the magazine away, and telling her firmly that it's bed time.

I think her punishment should be removal of the magazine and telling her that it's bed time. Job done.
