We have been asked by Pedigree to find 5 bloggers who have a dog to attend an event day in Waltham, Leicestershire on April 14th. We're also looking for 3 of these bloggers to take part in a feeding trial of the Pedigree range - this would run from end March for 6 weeks. The dog taking part in the feeding trial will need to be aged between 1 and 8 years old and be a small / medium dog (up to 25kg).

Here’s what Pedigree has to say, "Currently, we’re on a mission to encourage owners to feed their dogs a combination dry food, wet food, a regular dental care regime and a responsible amount of treats. Why? Because research by the WALTHAM™ Centre for Pet Nutrition, a leading global authority on pet care and nutrition, shows that this mixed diet provides the widest range of health benefits to your dog".

They have supplied us with this nutrition guide designed by the Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition which specialises in research on dog nutrition.
You can also check out the Pedigree website for information on creating a tailored menu for your dog in addition to their IOS App and Android App.

All participating bloggers will need to attend the event - we want 2 of these bloggers to not take part in the feeding trial and 3 of them to.

The Event
The event will take place in Waltham Leicestershire between 10:30 am and finish around 3pm and will include a mix of guest speakers, information on dog nutrition and a tour of the Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition. Lunch and travel expenses will be paid.
MNers will also be attending the event.
Note: due to the nature of the venue, no dogs nor children can attend the event.

The feeding trial
Selected bloggers who are willing to take part in the feeding trial will receive 6 week’s supply of dry and wet food and treats, tailored to the size and breed of their dogs, for their obliging furry friend to test. They will also be supplied with nutritional information along with a guide to responsible switching of dog food.N.B. - please note that this product test is to be carried out on one dog only, so if you have more than one dog in your household, please choose one of them to take part.

Overall we’re looking for bloggers who:

• Have at least one dog in their household.
• Would like to learn more about Pedigree products and animal nutrition.

The event will be filmed by Mumsnet so you will need to be comfortable being featured in a video to attend this event. We would also like bloggers to film some footage on the day and feature this on their blog post.

After the event we'd like you to write up the event on your blog, featuring photos and your video from the event. If you're selected for the feeding trial we'd also like you to write about this and to do a follow up blog post at the end of the feeding trial; this will be tweeted by MN bloggers.

All bloggers will receive £100 as a thank you for attending and for the blog post(s).

If selected, we'd like you to receive your blog post in by 18th April so please only apply if you are around during this time and able to post then. Blog posts will then be featured on our widget. The widget appears on c350 blogs across the MN network. To take part you'd also need to have the widget on your blog. We'd need you to include a link to the website in your blog post. You'd need to follow our guidelines for bloggers reviews, which will be sent to you. We'd also like you to tweet your review. Please note Pedigree may well use your blog post and video on their website, on social media as well as possibly elsewhere.

I've just received mine today. Quite a lot, and quite a nice selection. I'm concerned that the small dog vitality which we've received has colourings in it - it seems to be the only version that isn't plain brown - and I'm waiting for DDog's behaviour to go through the roof. But keeping an open mind for research purposes!

I'm assuming a feedback thread will appear, MN?
