Hi everyone!!! i wonder if u can help hubby and i are expecting our first child due 8th Jan!! We have beeasked by our friends what we would like as gifts......My hubby wants a baby carrier so he can carry our lil one we at beach with our dogs etc. So my question is my hubby is of large build carrying alot of tummy weight and we were wondering if anyone could recommend a carrier thats wud be suitable for his size??
thanks in advance
I'd recommend the close. My hubby sounds of similar build and I'm short and slim, it fitted us both just fine
Have you looked at the sling reviews on Mn?
You may consider sling. Real one - a piece of very long fabric (should be durable, little bit stretchable and not really solid, so you could breath through). There are several wrapping positions and when the kids are older you could wrap it such a way they will be on the back. Anyway, you could wrap it around anybody in your household regardless of shape.
We had a Babymoov sling when our son was small and now have moved onto the Stokke carrier. Would recommend both. We have just been sent a Cybex carrier to trial for my blog which we will start testing this week. Feel free to subscribe so you can hear about it! www.loveinthecloudsblog.com
We used a moby as with it being just one length of stretchy material is suited both me at 5ft4 and my 6ft3 husbdand who's generally a lot bigger than me!
How about those "one sided slings". It's already made (sewn) up and you just put it through one shoulder and don't need to bother with wrapping around. It's adjustable as well. I know some girls make their own but you could buy ready made ones. And it's suitable for different ages as well as the "piece of cloth" sling.
(Sorry if it doesn't not show it as image)
