I love the name jack for my baby but am a little worried its been a popular name for a few years. Is it a good idea to pick a popular name for child or go for something not so popular ? Any advice?
This should probably be in baby names
I have a Jack and was warned he'd be one of many.,.he's now 7 and the only jack in his year of 120 kids.
Don't worry about names being too popular, call him what you like as you're the one who will be saying it over and over again. It's an awesome name and has suited my DS since birth. I was convinced he was a girl so had a shock when he was born...he was named after the season of 24 I was hooked on during 24...jack Bauer lol
*during pregnancy not 24!
Thankyou Tomkat for your lovely reply. I think it's a lovely name too and it's the only boys name i've loved so it looks like he'll be a Jack when he arrives in 5 weeks.
