Twitter tips

Hi, I am new to blogging as a mum / for fun. I am taking part in a blog a day challenge (see mummyfried.blogspot.gr/)

A friend advised I should start using Twitter. I am taking a slowly slowly approach re: blogging (mum of two - not much time) but am thinking about Twitter and wanted some quick tips/ advice from seasoned bloggers who also have a twitter account.

Does it take a lot of time?
Any do's or don'ts
Anything to look out for?
Will it enhance my blog or do you think its just another communication medium?

It doesn't have to take a lot of time and I would say it definitely enhances your blog - although that depends what you want out of blogging.

To get to know more of the blogging community Twitter is really good.
Also if you want to work with brands, sometimes people will ask for your Twitter numbers
