Update your blog details on the MN Bloggers Network

Good news! We know it's been a bit of a pain that MN bloggers haven't, till now, been able to edit their blog info themselves - always useful to be able to change your own caption, or upload a more flattering profile pic. So we asked the MN tech team to have a bit of a tinker under the Bloggers' Network bonnet, and - ta-da! - now you can update your info whenever you like.

Just log into Mumsnet, go to 'My Mumsnet' at the top right of the page, and click on 'My account' - here you'll find a brand new tab titled 'Blog info'. Want to change the description of your blog, to tempt more readers to click through? Go for it. Need to update your URL because you've moved to a new platform? Easy-peasy. Just fill in the new info, click save, and you're done.

You'll need to be registered on the main Mumsnet site to do all this - it's very easy to do so here. But if you'd rather not, don't worry - just email us on [email protected], and we'll make the changes for you.

We're looking forward to a flood of witty new blog descriptions and intriguing profile pics - so go on, do have a fiddle. And don't forget to tell us what you think here on the thread.

Nice that we can do this now, Jess, but I am frustrated by the 140 character restriction on blog description.

For one thing, there needs to be a character count below the box. For another, are you Twitter now?

Now you're a member we'll automatically pick up your blog in our Recent Posts feed - so you don't need to do anything differently on your blog, just keep posting and when you hit publish your post will appear in our list. Simple, non?

You can also share links on the New Blog Posts Talk forum, or chat away to other Network members on here. This is also a great place to ask fellow bloggers for advice, so don't be shy!

I think I have changed my blog info on the network; it all looks ok. Does this mean my new feeds with appear as I post or do I need to do anything else?
