rather than as a list of links at the side, you know like on mn we do blah blah and it comes up in conversation - i need to do that in my posts as some of my links are specific to that post and wont necessarily get looked at if at the side in a list.

thank you!

You are on WP, aren't you? In the bar at the top of the box in which you write your post there is a little sign of a chain - click on that, enter the link you want to use and click on 'open in a new tab' so that the reader doesn't forget to come back.

It is pretty much the same on Blogger really.

I tried that, it was greyed out. Maybe it does not like my post...or maybe it thinks my post is fine without a link...Grin

Did you highlight the text you want to link? You have to highlight the text first in WordPress and then click the chain.

Or you can be really brave and click on the tab that says HTML and put the code in:

Text to be linked from

oh i see! I will give it a go. I am not too sure I am brave enough for HTML yet. But I want to be as I want to learn how to make things bold for searches, but not within the posts.

I will let you know if this works for me. It is bound to be, as my DH would refer to as 'a user-interface problem'.

thanks!
