Memes

Hi , I'm a blogger of less than two weeks. In the last few days I have been tagged a couple of times in memes. Help, I've no idea what a meme is, obviously it's a prompt to do a similar post to the tagger. Once that post is up do you need to link back to the tagger in some way. Do you need to tag others?
If a kind and experienced blogger would explain this to me then perhaps when a meme comes my way which I fancy I will be able to take part.

Hello

:o

Basically, you get a prompt to write about something.

You write a post and link to the person who tagged you by saying, "I have been tagged by XY ..." or words to that effect.

And you add a link to that person's blog, if this is asked of you.

Normally you would tag others, but since you are really new, you might not "know" enough other bloggers to do this.

Generally, I would say that if you feel that you don't want to do this then decline gracefully.

If you do one occasionally, it is good for building up a reader base. Some bloggers seem to do one every week, and it can get a bit wearying, I find.

Sorry, I should have explained it better.

Thanks, I guess I'll wait till one really takes my interest and give it a go then.
