Hi wow already new thread and thanks for list twinklegreen must have took you ages.

thanks everyone for advice about bf.HV came today and Nathaniel is now 9lbs 1oz from 8lbs 10oz so am relaxed now as he obviously getting enough. He`s got funny spots on his face and HV thinks its start of eczema which is shame its starting so early. Not sure whether to try and cut food out and see if it makes a difference.

Hope more of you waiting will be popping soon.Off to bed now x

Loving the title of the new thread!! Its great

Well done to any new mothers....hope you are all ok.

God i wish someone had told me to get up an hour earlier, trying to get DS to school, and forgot about the baby! Was so late, had to get her changed, into buggy etc.....so late lol..didnt think 1 more could cause so much panic in the mornings.

Anyone else having problems with crying? Faith, when sleeping is great, when awake, just wants to cry! Night time is the worse, and DH has had to start sleeping in spare room now to get sleep, so im now one of the living dead. Nothing seems to be able to stop her.

Right...cup of coffee & then back to the school for yet another meeting. But at least we are closer to finding out what is wrong with DS, but i could do with just putting my feet up!

Hi all, glad I found the new thread.

Sadie May entered the world 9 days late at 10:49pm Monday night weighing 8lb 9oz. Not quite the birth I wanted (but how many people get one of those!) and I think it freaked DP out a bit but we are all fine. Sadie has a full head of hair and is absolutely gorgeous, even when she cries!
Will post more later once I've had some sleep...
Congrats to any other new mums and babies.

Hi all, not been on here for over week as had nothing really to say other than feeling fat miserable and uncomfortable, so decided not to bore you all with the details.

Congrats to all of you that have had new arrivals and thanks so much for the birth stories, the good, the bad and the ugly, they're really useful to read.

Finally due today so hoping that the cramping, back ache and inability to get comfortable actually means something (fingers and everything crossed - well not my legs, I want this baby out now)

Am currently burning an entire battery a day with calls and texts asking "Any News?" think I may change my message to if there is any news I would have told you

Fingers crossed for all those due today and overdue. hoping there are some signs of imminent arrivals.

Still no news from me, I am now 40+6. Am trying to remain positive and banish thoughts of failed inductions and emcs from my mind. I am starting to feel really frightened.

Am now so enormous I am finding it really hard to get around and am incredibly uncomfortable. I feel as though I am becoming a bit mentally unhinged with it all. A day on the sofa awaits.....

Many congrats dizzytrout! Another early one. And to you too Kowaikiwi - how did you cope with being 9 days late?

Congratulations HalfMumHalfBiscuit Dizzytrout and Kowaikiwi newbeemummy hackneybird and ronniemummy hope its not long to go fir you now.

littlepea oh yes,Joseph has the mad crying fits as well-see below.

Pretty grim morning here, Joseph had a colicky meltdown at 4.40am and then again at 8am.First time DH had really heard them and he got really upset. He took him off in the car and that sorted it but we were both shattered. Registered the birth so Joseph is all official now.

DH always calls in on his mum on the way to work and at 12 I got a call from her, v concerned asking if I was ok and then if the baby was ok and that she'd take him if I needed a break. Its like she thinks I can't cope, I'm just tired ffs. She has had a massive hand in looking after my neices since they were both 7 months old and even now they are there 6 days a week. I feel guilty that my own mum is so far away and am trying to negotiate this delicate situation where MIL (who is lovely btw) understsnds thst he is just nanna and not carer. SIL keeps ringing up to see when she can bring her girls round to see Josdeph and I just want her to give us some space. Sorry to rant, I'm just knackered. And I do know she's trying to be helpful.

HMHB sorry to hear that your stitches hurt so much, mine did too - best advice m/w gave me was to shower (a bit like a bidet wash) my privates with tepid water EVERY time I went to the loo - they healed very well and very quickly and at 2 weeks were almost no bother at all.

dizzytrout you are absolutely NOT a faliure! Well done for trying for 3 days, that must have been very stressful and your tears are completely understandable {{HUGS}}, no-one should EVER feel bad about not breastfeeding for any reason whatsoever, I'm sure little Emily Mae will be just fab either way

twinklegreen bravo for updating the list!

womb noises for sleeping!
littlepea sorry to hear Faith is crying so much. Annalise doesn't really cry (just sounds like she's a dying banshee when sleeping - not sure which is more frustrating!). DH has made it his mission to find ways to get A to nod off fast, and we've found putting her moses basket under the extractor fan in the kitchen extremely effective as it mimics loud womb noise. He's also downloaded ambient womb noises from cantonbecker.com - sends A into a very deep sleep very fast!

newbeemummy & hackneybird sending you both very strong postive labour vibes! x

Annalise seems to be developing cradle cap, saw a baby with really bad cradle cap at busy babies yesterday. really shocking, poor mum was obviously upset by it Anyone have experience of this - whats best to do it avoid it getting worse?

osteopath Someone mentioned a school in Farringdon, London - please can you be a bit more specific? Only know the osteopathy school in Southwark, and would love to try to address Annalise nocturnal wretched noises!

Have a good afternoon everyone X

HC Thanks for the empathy. Yawning with you-when I typed my earlier typo filled post, I dropped off to sleep with my finger (rather appropriately on the z key) Woke up with a start to find I had 70+ lines of zzzzz to delete!

HMHB Pain from the stitches is shocking isn't it? I took a glass of warm water in with me each time and poured as I weed-it helped a lot.

littlepea Could it be reflex?Maybe have a chat with gp or hv. I have a thread going in "sleep" which has had a lot of helpful suggestions for sleep deprived mums of newborns.

I left Joseph with MIL this morning while I went to dentist. 1 hour and 1 root canal later, I picked him up, had really missed him!

Miracle of miracles, he went down in the moses basket for an hour yesterday afternoon. I didn't know what to do with myself. We also got a bit more sleep. Massive improvement since the cranial osteopathy.

Am wondering what to do re moses basket and sleep. Joseph is already starting to roll onto his side when I lay him down, hates being swaddled and likes to fling his arms about a bit before he goes to sleep. In the moses basket, his arms hit the sides and he seems to get frustrated. Do I try him in his cot? Its huge in comparison. I really want an Amby but DH thinks it will be a waste of money as there's no guarantee he'l sleep in in.

littlepea complete symapthy with you, Matthew was on an every half hour wake last night, all down to terrible reflux so being hungry still. My DH is not allowed in another room, share and share alike and all that.

HT-leave Matthew on the sofa and the other day he had managed to roll on his front and was happily asleep curled in a little ball and cried when I turned him over. Infact, he is happiest asleep on my chest face down with his feet curled under him. Hope your teeth are not too sore. Will have to check out your sleep thread as I have forgotten what sleep is. Oh and PMSL at your 70 lines of zzzzz'z, made my day that did.

LittleBlessing-a foul mood is a sure sign of imminent labour for me. On the night I went into labour I lost it with DD1 and DH, infact DH stormed away from the tea table and told me I would be going it alone when I had the baby. Little did he know 1 hour later we would be on the way to the hospital.

Anyone else due this week? Can't believe Matthew is 3 weeks old today, where does the time go?

Big wave to everyone else. Better go as sicky, pooey boy needs a feed.

littlepea - not much sleep here either last night. DD keeps falling asleep on the boob (despite me prodding and poking her constantly) and as soon as I put her in the cot she wakes up and wants more. Seems to be feeding for AGES. Up at midnight, 2.30am and 5.30am for an hour each at least. I will defo need a nap today.

DH in same room as us, borrowing my eye mask and asking 'has she gone to sleep now?' after I've done 1hrs breastfeeding and just put her down. Thanks DH.
