Woohoo great news about Spangle
Belgian hope your presentation goes well- knock 'em dead
Blotted landing on the child gate sounds v painful- hope you are feeling better!
Have had first ante-natal class tonight, not really what I was expecting, but it was good to see the ward and delivery suite. Was very exciting to think that next time I'll be on the ward it will be for the arrival of my little boy

Just popped in to check what I've missed tonight and OH MY GOD, A NEW BABY SPANGLET and a new thread named in his honour. Love the name Harvey too (the name of my favorite nephew).
Oh Spangle well done, well done, well done I'm so thrilled and excited for you and your DP/DH (sorry not sure which it is). Can't believe you got to 8cm without them believing you either - superwoman!

[Frazzled cracks open the Champers and pours into beautiful crystal glasses] - none for Detsy though in lieu of her evil behaviour.........or maybe just a small one since she WAS actually the bearer of such good news!

Belgian will be thinking of you tomorrow. Glad to hear you've got the comfy pants and fave lippy all ready (never mind the presentation, make sure you've got nice underwear on I say!) Best of luck honey x x x

Just had a toasted teacake as couldn't sleep as have barely eaten all day (or yesterday for that matter). Has anyone else gone off 'meals' - I like eating fruit and cereal bars but not much else at the mo. (have been like this for a couple of weeks actually). Think I remember this happening with DD2 at the end of pg too - odd. Shame really as I feel like I ought to be tucking into anything I fancy while I can justify it. Boo. I used to love roast dinners, puddings etc and somehow it's all lost its appeal a bit. Oh well, smaller bum at the end I guess.

Right will finish my herbal tea and get off upstairs to try and sleep. Am slightly on edge that one of us is going to get ill in the night (like last night) - [frazz scouts around kitchen for wood to touch and hopes that the bug has left the building.]
Night sorry for the long post. Am rambling

Morning ladies.

belgian good luck today

I expect today to be v.boring on here after the excitement of spangle and spanglet yesterday

Am proud of myself - gave myself 1st insulin injection this morning - will test in half hour to see if makes any difference.

Off the consultant and diabetic specialist later today - hope they let me have a growth scan

got on the scales today and half lost 2lbs - prob due to giving up choc etc for last two weeks. Have put on 23lbs so far - don't think that's too bad? Do feel huge tho cos of losing 28lb before getting pg I guess

LoobyLou36 · 02/04/2009 07:33

I've gone off meals too frazzle can't decide what to eat most of the time. Have managed to cook quite a few meals to freeze tho for when exhausted when LO arrives, otherwise I'd prob be living on soup and boiled eggs from the hens.

OOoooooo shiny new thread! lovely!

Big Big congrats to spangle has made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! hope she is doing ok, sounds like a lovely birth! Wonder whos going to be next!

Good Luck today Belgian - Sure you'll do fine!

Am loving all the hen party ideas from previous thread! Bunny ears and strtched hummer soung great! Will get the ol 'L' plates ready! Drinks all round!

I've got my 2nd 4d scan tonight, am very excited about seeing little un again, curious as to how much growth has gone on just over a week, hopefully not to much, althoug my chocolate and sweetie obsession may not be helping that!

I need some manly pats on the back, Me & Madi are off to our first Mum & Toddler Playgroup this morning, well actually in 2 hours time, Im very nervous, tummy doing summersaults etc, pathetic aren't I?! Worried about how Madi will cope and deal with other children, shes gets so hyper and excited, dont want her to acidently hurt someone, and I don't want to be the pregnant lady with one child already she can't control! Oooooo wish you could come with me! I'd take all of you!

Whats everyone elses plans for the day??

Looks like the weather is on our side down here!

Yes, enjoy the playgroup *chocolatebunnies."

Well done on taking the insulin Looby I know how scared you are of needles. Have they advised you to test again after half an hour? If they haven't, I'd advise you not to or you'll have nothing left of your poor finger! My insulin dose has been brought down to 6 units instead of 16, so I am testing before and after eating and my poor finger is really suffering!

We're off to rhyme time at the library today. Unfortunately, DS discovered the tin of Toblerone we were given at christmas but haven't been able to eat due to my GD, and he has quietly munched his way through a load this morning. I thought he was quiet, I really should have investigated but assumed he'd gone off somewhere quiet to poo in peace! Excessive chocolate intake + library does not = good library behaviour!

Frazz I can't remember the last time I felt like eating a meal, I've been living on sandwiches, cups of tea and fruit. I have no appetite at all.

Chocbunnies Good luck! I bet you'll have a great time.

llare DS2 did similar yesterday with smarties, he looked wired to the moon when I discovered him!

Today is one of our gymnastics class days and this class is the last one for three weeks because of the holidays, and I can't take the kids because DDs impetigo is still so bad. They've been stuck in all week so I think I'm going to try and get their seesaw, chute and car into the front garden later so they can play.

Before I go just this. I left this on the other thread and chocbunnies told me you've moved. Gosh that went quick. I suppose it was all the excitement with Spangle.

Thanks again for the good luck wishes. I'll tell you how it went tonight, if I've still got the energy, otherwise it'll be tomorrow

Oh, now we're all f/b friends I've got a little request. Work doesn't know yet about us moveing down to Kent and so doesn't know about the interview. So it would be nice if no one mentions it on my f/b page, I don't want my work friends to discover my big secret until I'm ready to tell them. I just suddenly had visions of them finding out this way, because 2 non-work related people wished me good luck on f/b, luckily they didn't say for what!

Reggie, sorry to hear your DC has chicken pox, although apart from the itching phase (plenty of calomine lotion needed), i found that DCs were more grumpy/off-colour etc before the spots appear and its not so bad once they start crusting over. So hopefully your DC will start feeling better soon (although it does mean you can't go out with them until spots have crusted which is quite limiting).

Good morning, good morning!

Wow a new thread! Laughed so much reading Detsy keeping the news from us! So chuffed for the new Spanglet, the news caused proper tears to well up! Well done Spangle!

Also still laughing at the dog reverse sneezing (little things please little minds), although can imagine it might be quite painful for dog.

Belgian - good luck for today. It's the time for getting new jobs - both yesterday and today have been told by 2 friends about their new jobs.

My cat's not speaking to me since yesterday. Had to take him to the vets for annual booster and lured him into his crate with his favourite biscuits. He's been stalking around since giving me the evil eye.

Today I get to go over the the beautiful town of Holmfirth to meet lovely friends for lunch in the Yorkshire sunshine. Am lucky maternity leave lady of leisure. Hurrah!

Morning all, just resting on my bed. DS was up in the night from 11-1. So i'm tired, and so are the DCs (they share a room and although DD didnt wake, i'm sure she was disturbed), DS is so grumpy and tired i've put him in his cot, and DD wanted to go to bed too! They are now busy chatting happily so i will take this welcome break to chill out and watch the Wright Stuff on channel 5.

morning all.
Belgian, good luck today.
chocbunnies, hope you dd has a good time at playgroup.

Reggiee, hope your LO feels better and itching not too unbearable. i'm just waiting for my 2 DDs to get it at an inopportune time but it would be ok now since i'm done with work. they'll prob get it when baby3 arrives!

about Spangle - read through last nights posts and giggled at the pages of suspense... then cried for about 10 minutes when I read the news. how lovely.

are my tears a bad sign of anxiety or just hormones? although I said I was confident this time, i'm still so scared. am going to see head MW at York hosp today to chat about DD2s birth and how it affected me/PND and am worried I'll get muddled and defensive and start crying (tears will defn happen)... maybe I'll listen to my hypno birth cd this morn whilst i have the time.

hope you're all well.
