SW19 cooking buns - over here!

FruitynNutty · 17/01/2009 22:16

I've taken it upon myself to open this thread as there seem to be quite a few SW19 mums-to-be.
My ante-natal thread on here (March) is huge and I just can't keep up!

Anyone wanna join me?

Hiya Fruity. As far as I know there's no bun (yet), but though I'd keep you company as you're here on your own!

I'm here, but actually I'm in SW20, so am I allowed?

Ooooh dunno
Could be a bad choice of title

This is a very sorry attempt at a thread - Maybe open a new one with a more appropriate title?
I'm just fed up of the "Due in March" thread - waaaaay too many people! Get completely ignored most of the time too

I am SW20 but I'm post natal now! Ok to join?

No it is a good idea. Think it should include all nearby people pregnant or recently so.

FruitynNutty · 18/01/2009 16:57

Definitely Wobblypig and of course kmp1
Can anyone think of a more appropriate title to reel in a few more?

Hi there - I'm in Raynes Park, strictly SM4, but think I'm close enough to join? I do lots of shopping in Wimbledon if that counts!
I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and due at the end of June.

Ummm, yes - 18 months. Don't scare me by telling me how hard it will be!!
Yes I am working at the moment, went back part time in November.

No idea how hard or easy it will be. I am due in May and have a little tearaway toddler. I am very scared. Was reading int he paper that 18 months or 3 years quite good as jealousy not an issue.

Does anyone know hte sex of their baby yet? If so same or different to any previous children?
Was sorting through old baby clotes today. i was nicely surprised how many could be considered unisex. Some dubious carrot-stained ones had to be given to the recycling though.

Are you reusing stuff or buying new things?

Oh that's good news - thank you! Usually people say "god, that's going to be hard" when we tell them. Or they're like my ultra supportive friend (with 2 DC) who said "you are BONKERS!" when she heard!

How old is your toddler? I was reading threads last week about managing with two. Top tips seemed to be 1) CBeebies is your friend and 2) lower your standards.....

Wow, suddenly busy in here!
Hi everyone, of course all of you are welcome, including you Wheelybug

Ah, Hadeda great time to have a baby Although I have to warn you, I had DS on 26th June (12 days late) and I was expiring from the heat I remember lying in bed, completely naked, window wide open (hope no one saw me), cuddling a bag of frozen peas and crying to DP that I was still sooooo hot
I hope it's not too hot for you this year!

Re sex - we won't find out as we like surprises, but everyone thought DD was a boy so we have lots of blue/green clothes. So, they'll work if it's a boy and have already done for a girl, so they'll do again if it's another girl.

I'd better give DH a hand with dinner, poor man has just given DD her bath and put her to bed and is now making my dinner without any complaints.

Don't know sex here. I have a dd already who is 4 on Saturday - I am 32 weeks pg at the mo.

I intend to re-use what I can depending of course whether boy or girl. DH is convinced its a boy based on the fact we have kept 4 years worth of girls clothes .

Am not even sure whether our newborn stuff is that unisex as dd had growth issues so was 4lbs 9 oz when born and this one is 'normal' so by the time dd got into newborn size clothes I'm fairly sure they got girly. Will start to sort through them once I've got dd's birthday/party out the way !

Yes to lwoer your standards unfortunately. My Ds has watched much more TV than before I was pregnant and much more than I would ever have thought I would allow just because I can sit quitely and watch with him . I know every episode of Peppa Pig ever written. Thank heavens for Sky Plus.

It wasn't hot when I had DS but St George's couldn't turn their heating off on the ward so it was sweltering. The MWs kept telling me of for having the fan on too close to DS.

Hoping for nice summer for sitting in parks , having picnics so DS can run around outside and wear himself out.

Us too fruity - hence the 4 year age gap !

As for age gaps - we planned a much smaller one, should have had 2 years but i m/c and then it took me 2 years to conceive again. What i've learnt from all this is that any age gap has its advantages and disadvantages - so any age gap is great .

2 boys will be good togehter FnN.
I wasn't bothered either way as if a boy I thought they could run around in circles together which it what DS seems to love doing ; if a girl then it would be a different experience.

Nice to meet you all. Need to tackle a hideous pile of washing now. What fun!

Pleased to see it filled up in here. Can I lurk? I'm round the corner geographically, but my DS is far too old at 9 months!!
(am hoping number two will materialise shortly though)
