Hi all I came on last week, explaining I was expecting again, Well I requested an early scan to make sure it was only 1!!! I have now ended up with a couple of blood tests. On wednesday the scan found just a sack I was told that not to worry as it was more than likely at the early stage would take a blood test to know more, then back in wk for another scan. Well my blood results on wednesday were just over 1500 and today they are just over 1600 and they now want me in tomorrow for a scan as don't want to leave for a week, have now been told might be an eptopic!!!!! I don't know how this could be as they have seen the sack which in an eptopic I didn't think they could. I don't know what it all mean or what the blood results mean. AM scared
kat the scan would see a sac even if ectopic, however there is just a narrow margin between where it should be and a possible ectopic, maybe they couldnt get such a clear picture on the first and want to double check, also its normal to see just a sac up until about week 7....good luck
they couldn't say how many weeks, so not got a clue, Tis just so upsetting just going to find out if one baby and not more what with having 8mnth twins and 21mnth DS, and now I don't know what happening, have had no bleeding, them saying everything seems fine on wednesday just probably early scan to the way their talking now not much chance of everything being ok so I think its got something to do with the blood results
Very much depends on how many weeks. They should have been able to guestimate according to the scan.
Could be very early in which case perfectly normal. Blood results will give them hormone levels and that tied in with scan results may indicate how far you are.
Doesnt necissarily mean that there is something wrong you know. Hard for you not to worry i know. Scans will put your mind at rest but these will be done over 7-10 days so a bit of a wait, unless you start to bleed.
Im not the best person to advise you on this, but i am sure some one who is will be along.
Thanx barbie, I was suprised because when expecting DS1 I had a scan at about 6wks after having a small bleed and saw the heartbeat so was greatly releived, nothing this time so I presume not looking good!
I had the same thing, thought it was ectopic, had scan and had to go back 2 weeks later...bloods were low because i thought i should of been further on...hence the rebook of the scan. However second scan showed sac...still low bloods. Third scan placed me at 7 weeks and bloods went up, saw heartbeat and confirmed no ectopic....sadly ended in mmc I think maybe you might think you were further on, hence low blood count. Im sure your next scan will be ok
I'm sorry to here that barbie I had mc before DS1 was born very hard to go through!. Well according to my last period would be about 6wks but as I was on the pill I really don't know. I thought that was about right because done 2 home tests and they weren't faint postives like my mc which was very early on. I just hope find out more tomorrow. not that I would've thought 3 days would make much difference
If you are 6 weeks then 3 days probably wont make such a difference, however they might be able to rule out ectopic and get you back in 10 days or so when a heartbeat is expected to be seen. Most scanners like to wait at least 8 weeks to be 100% of a viable pregnancy, good luck x
Went to hospital, not an eptopic so thats a relief. Still just saw sack so docter said either could be early pregnancy or its not going as should be, as the blood results were like that its looking more like somethings not right. So back in for another scan a week on monday.
