Start using Mumsnet Premiumall not well at 35 weeks
(4 Posts)My daughter has had a normal pregnancy untilnow 35weeks and last scan suggests hydrocephalus. Head measurement 38 wks rest of pregnancy and foetal measurements 35wks. She has scan at local womens hospital on Thursday. What can I as her Mum expect? Is there a terrible problem looming or are the midwives just being cautious? Please help.
Sorry, betty, no experience or advice but bumping for you!
Don't know a great deal, but have seen babies born with hydrocephalus that have a stent inserted to drain the fluid from their brain into their stomach, and they develop and grow normally.
betty so sorry no experience have you tried googling hydrocephalus? hope someone comes on here with more advice and that all goes ok for your daughter.
