Wow! Can you imagine if we all met up!? No one would get a word in! We are def gas bags!
Happy Birthday Rumpel! Ribs ok, still tender.
Well I supposed it had to happen, I think today I finally had my meltdown! But there is nothing more cathartic than a good old cry.

I could not feel LO moving at all today and I just sat around waiting, by 3pm I was getting nervous. (If anyone has had a still born they will understand the panic). DH took me to GP and they struggled to find heart beat and my own heart just went through me, my hands sweated and I lost it. They did find heart beat but the panic combined with everything else from the bloomin SPD, rib abd gall bladder just got to me... But and I say BUT the GP then had the cheek to ask if maybe I had a bit of pre-natal depression. She assured me it does happen!

I may be kicked out of my surgery - can that happen? I don't know why but I lost it again and asked why it was not ok for me to be sad and exhausted purely because I have had enough and I had been very spooked.

DH diffused situation and GP apologised and I have to say now I feel really bad. She was obviously trying to help but I think I finally reached my limit. I am thinking also I should call tomorrow and apologise.

Well enough about me and sorry for going on...I just feel so guilty for losing it with GP. And also a bit sad that unlike my neighbour I have not been able to enjoy my pregnancy. She does yoga, goes swimming and looks so blooming! My sweet DH said that I can do all of that later post natally... hmmmm

Anway I am going to have a long relaxing bath, DH is making thai noodles with loads of iron filled veggies and then I am going to bed with a new book and a cuppa.

Have a good evening everyone and it sounds like we may have a new arrival soon!

Oh CilC, you have had such a tough time this pregnancy. I bet you are going to have an absolute angel of a baby to make up for your pregnancy!

CilC you have had such a hard time this pregnancy that no wonder you finally burst! The GP should be used to it and it sounds like she could have been a little more sympathetic. Enjoy your bath and book!

It is probably exactly what you needed CilC - you have had such a difficult time and been such a trooper - I would have flipped long ago. A blooming good tantrum would be exactly what I would feel like if I was you. I am sure your GP surgery will be understanding.
Happy birthday Rumpel and Minipink. Ha ha Rumpel, that's right you said you were 35 last week and we all thought you meant it was your birthday but in fact you meant 35 weeks.
Disney, hope you have a nice relaxing eve.
Exciting, Aggie!
Sorry everyone else have already forgotten much of what I've just read and it is now on another thread so can't even check back up the page!

Aggie - I know what you mean about every twinge. Also that it is so wierd that the peerson inside me is perfectly cabable of beeing on the outside now but may stay inside for weeks! Just so want to meet him/her.

CilC - don't worry about losing it with GP. She'll definitely understand. Just go and have a relaxing evening.

Evening all...

Kaz thanks foro starting new thread.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we all have our babies in this one!!!!! (DIsney, sort it out!!)

Rumple and Minipink Happy birthday to both of you. Hope you both had good days (as much as poss!)

Cilc You have been through the mill, I'd explode at my GP in MY condition, let alone yours!! I can't imagine you'd get 'barred' from your practice, you'll probably just see another GP.. I didn't realise you'd had a still born. My best friend did when I was about 18 weeks (end Feb) so I understand a little (from an outsiders point of view) it was probably the worse thng I'VE been through, let alone her.... Anyway this has made me ALOT more nervous this time re movements and things.... {{big hugs}}

Bebe I second everyone elses opinion. It sounds like a migraine, but I would check with the MW as it can be a sign of pre-eclampsia, have you been feeling dizzy or getting 'spots' swimming in front of your eyes... These could also be signs.. Just be careful.

Can a 'show' really have no blood in it? Coz if that's the case I think I had mine last week... (TMI ALERT) When I wiped it was like clear gunge, and I put it down to just thicker discharge.. (I didn't have one with DS)

I've also been getting pains all down my bum and legs today, it's so horrible. Luckily DS has been golden all day, only one tantrum, but that was coz he was hungry!

JODIEhavingababy · 24/06/2008 20:05

Whoever said in the last thread that you learn so much from MN, I've learnt more here tat anywhere I did with DS.. Went into the whole thing with my eyes wide shut!!

Anyway I've found this if anyones interested (about the show)

JacobsPrincess · 24/06/2008 20:15

Crikey! I think I may have had "the show". Didn't realise. I was expecting something like a stage prop from 50's B-movie "The Blob"!! Either that or dinner and a chorus line.
I'm totally not ready for this little man to make an appearance. I've had 9 months to prepare, but mentally Im still not in the right place. Methinks this sprog will be a shock to the system.
And yes, you do all talk too much

I think there are going to be lots of babies very soon - very exciting!

I had a show after my waters broke, but was only slightly pink - not bloody.

Clic - huge hugs to you. I am sure GP will understand and to be honest she could have been more sensitive.

Hi to the rest, have read all the posts but too tired and foggy headed to reply at moment!

Wow another thread we are a bunch of gas bags aren't we?

Am trying to catch up with everything thats been going on today, forgive me if I miss someone out.

Not much to report here today, tried the car seats in every combination earlier and no go, but DD1 is nearly 4 so can go into a high back booster which are narrower than the 9m-yo ones we have now, don't know whether to put baby in the front with air bag off I know a lot of people do that too. Feeling a bit down myself today just fed up and in pain. Am 37+5 today which is the time I had DD1 so she's not as impatient as her big sister.

pigley - IME the oral prostaglandins DO NOT WORK, it's an evil rumour dreamt up by men on 9 months plus pregnant women.

libralady - brilliant birth story I know what you mean about going on a complete high after labour and not being able to sleep, what does DS1 think of his new little brother? Oh that reminds me I must get a toy each for the DDs from their "new sister"

Minnie - I have gone a bit cleaning mad although in my case it's focused on our bedroom, it must be a nesting thing as I want it all uber tidy before I give birth up there. In fact I just want DP and all his crap to move out!

minipink and rumpel - Happy birthday to you both

minipink - sorry to hear you are having a hard time with feeding Abbie loads of great advice on here though, I couldn't have got through feeding DD1 if it wasn't for people on here

aggiepanther - right I have had 2 shows, one has the faintest pink tinge to it and happened after waters broke, the second time I didn't even think it was a show but looking back I realised it was, it was clear and jelly like, went into labour about an hour afterwards. Best of luck hope it won't be long now for you

CliC - poor you you have been through so much this pregnancy no wonder you had an outburst, I completely lost it with DP last week (not that he deserved it) I have definitely been suffering from pre natal depression and haven't had the thigns you have had to deal with. Please come on here and rant away as much as you want it's the one place everyone knows exactly what you mean.

Right better stop talking now

Report
disneystar · 24/06/2008 20:32

cilc poor you i understand where you are coming from i went into prem labour at nearly 27 weeks 5 years ago and my dd was stillborn
oh yes the panic when i cant feel this LO im like c,mon sam move for mummy and you know what no movements all day his dad rings me and he kicks how spooky is that
he always kicks when im on the phone to my DH

a show can be clear thick gooey discharge kinda stuff either in one blob or more often in bits and pieces its the way to tell the cervix is gettin ripe and softening up ready

so all good news i think
has such a crap day my legs and feet like baloons just tired tired tired

my 16yr old son has gone tesco for me as i have had a real craving for raw potatoes this entire pregnancy i eat them maybe 10 a day when i go out i take them in the car with my knife to peel them
go on someone tell me thats disgusting or so bad for me or baby, but the craving and urge is terrible

Disney Raw potatoes??? Never heard of that one before!

Does anyone on here have a 'normal' size cot? I only ask as I was sorting out all my moses basket sheets today and I have 2 cot fitted sheets that I won't use, as I have a cot bed (must have bought them by mistake last time!) They have been washed, but never used.... They are cream.... Does anyone want them. I don't mind posting them out..

Report
JacobsPrincess · 24/06/2008 20:46

Any other odd cravings out there? I've had none this time, but I ate my own weight in cucumbers with DS1. but they HAD to be organic, the "normal" ones didn't taste right!!

Report
Heffagooday · 24/06/2008 20:50

Re show - I didn't realise it could be clear, that's very useful. Again, silly MW (not mine) told us that it had to feature blood otherwise it was just discharge . DH and I were making various plans last night for all the possible ways my labour could go, and what we'd do in each scenario. Of course, I'm sure it will be nothing like any of them!

CilC - I'm not surprised you had a go at the GP, I'm sure she'll understand.

Wouldn't it be fab if we did all have our babies in this thread? Looking forward to seeing more pictures of gorgeous newborns
