Start using Mumsnet PremiumAm i bad calling the midwife out??
(5 Posts)Hello everyone
Well, i've posted on this but a quick update. I am 31 weeks pregnant and on Frday evening had to cut short a shopping trip as my pelvis and legs started aching really bad. It was coming in waves and i got quite worried. Went home ,had a bath and called hospital who told me to take 2 paracetamol and lie down. I did this and just went to sleep.
However, i've felt achey all weekend, i've taken it really easy but i only have to be up and about for an hour and i start aching again so i called the midwife this morning and as they've no clinic, she said she'd do a home visit tomorrow.
My question is, as i know it's the time when everything softens and you start aching, am i being a total wuss who'll she'll be cursing
It's my second baby and i can't remember feeling this bad at 31 weeks with dd and i'd just like re-assurance that all is well!!!
Opinions........
SnowmAngeliz... When I started feeling really rough around week 31 (strangely enough) I went to clinic and all I was told was... 'your body is trying to tell you something'... 'take it easy'. VERY usefull that ... NOT!
But it's better to be safe than sorry and if the mw is willing to visit you after you've described your complaints she wants to have a look at you Otherwise she probably would have just told you to go to the next clinic.
p.s. that was with my second baby as well. when pg the first time I got way more rest as I just put my feet up whenever I felt like it. However when pg with no. 2 I still had to run after dd
I'll bet the MW would much prefer to be called out to a false alarm than have someone suffering because they didn't want to bother anyone. Hope you start to feel a bit more comfortable soon. xxx
Thanks you two(I feel so giulty as it's close to Christmas!!)
