so, scan went well and we are only having the one (phew!). Saw the heart beat and tiny bean is just 2cm crown to rump!!
8w 4d, gives me a revised due date of aug 16th. Yay, am so happy!!

Zowie Cavy! And people are always on MN swearing they've felt baby movement in the first trimester - I don't see how at that size LOL.

am so pleased for you captaincaveman thats wonderful news, my scan is still another week and other than feeling shattered (could be lack of sleep due to shifts or fact dd2 isn't sleeping well at moment) and occasional bouts of indegestion am not sure how this one is going!

SKF - am gutted for you, there is nothing really that anyone can say at a time like this except take all the time you need to deal with it, this is a genuine loss and you have to greive it as such. We lost one before dd1 and now have 2 beautiful girls so it is possible! take care xxx

buddhababe, am planning the same kind of evening as you once the battle of the bath/bottle/bed is over!!

hurrah so excited for you having seen your little one! Am so worried about the possibility of two babies making number four become four and five! had to have a really early scan when I was in hospital but they couldn't say how many there were. I know three people who had twins the fourth time round - am starting to wonder if it is more common!

Kids all in bed which means I can start working again although i'd quite like to go to bed!

Still feeling really sick. thought it was a bit better and both cheered and worried simultaneously, but it's back. Haven't actually been sick for nearly 2 weeks (yay - but xmas was baaaaad), but feeling so so rough.

Petitfilou oops. I try to stay on as few threads as possible because I'm really bad about mixing people up. Just glad though as I really thought it'd be too early to know the sex if you were on this thread at the present.

Interesting that the CVS test might show the sex result...will google. I think that's part of the tests I have on 04FEB.

MAJOR nausea ALL DAY so far. I've been force feeding myself to get only minutes worth of relief. Can't eat much at once anyway. Ordered my favorite burrito at this little Mexican restuarant for lunch and could only stomach about 3cm of it. Brought the rest home to heat up later (hopefully). Thankfully nothing's come back up but just feel like absolute crud. The fresh air was nice today. It's about 15C right now and extremely sunny. Let DD ride her new bike around outside. I did a little walking while she road. The exercise felt good too. OH AND my chocolate-caramel covered popcorn got delivered while I was out. We broke into that a few minutes ago......YUM!

Okay I researched the CVS test and can honestly say I'm NOT going to have it. I had already crossed any Amnio's off my list and the CVS is basically the same thing. NO NEEDLES NEAR THE BABY! The test I am having at 12+2 is the Nuchal Translucency Screening. Don't know how I got that confused with the CVS. So I guess I won't be finding out the sex until that 20 week scan after all.

Caveman I posted on the previous thread, but it probably got lost in the excitement of the new thread! Can you tell me a bit more about where you had your scan, and how much it cost? I'm thinking of getting a dating scan when I'm in the vicinity of 8 weeks gone (around 5.4 weeks at the moment)

CaptainC - Glad to hear your scan went well, was thinking of you, hurray!!!!

Off to bed, vomiting since home and crying for no reason and just all over the place, need to just switch off. Scan wonderful, baby measuring 9+2, little ball with heartbeat and all fine.

Aw fab news for you too Chacha, really pleased all went well .
I showed ds the picture and he said "oh, can I watch my telly programmes now". obv not trained his eye to see 2cm babies yet!!

Sorry hopefully I did see your message! I went to a place called proscan which is in nottingham - my friend recommended it. Am sure if you look on www.yell.com you should be able to find something local to you? It cost £50 for the dating scan, which included the scan, a report and of course, piccies!

TS will try to add them to my profile....don't hold your breath though, I've got to get them on the pc first!! Yay for same day due babies - transatlantic twins! Your dd is just a couple of months older than my ds too!

SKF am so sorry to hear your news. Praying for you and your family, espeically over the next few days.

Hello all, good to catch up on the news, although lots of thoughts for people having a hard time at the moment. The ginger biscuit recipe from before Christmas may have helped the nausea a bit but was definitely a big success with my ILs. Thanks!

Still feeling sick most of the time, but not actually throwing up.

I have a scan booked for tomorrow - I'm living abroad at the moment and the local private hospital here apparently scans at 9 weeks. Mostly just feeling nervous.

Okay here's proof that I'm totally crazy. I just purchased my first bit of maternity wear... check it out. There was a coupon on the site that gave me a discount that allowed me to get a pair of crop pants FOR FREE!! Couldn't pass it up. Now when the weather gets warmer DH will HAVE TO take me out!!!

Morning everyone.

TS I am with you I spent yesterday arvo getting out all my Mat clothes, which annoyingly I had only a couple of months ago put to the back of my closet! I also bought some shorts in a sale the other day in prep for being the size of a house by the summer.

HOpe all the ms sufferers feel better today, touvh wood not feeling sick today - yay.

Morning all,

Well, I had a bit of a day yesterday - some brown bleeding, combined with stomach cramps and a total lack of MS. As you can imagine, sent me into a bit of a flap, but thankfully no more today, and MS back with a vengeance, so fingers crossed.

Hope everyone else is OK today, and my heart goes out to you SKF. I can't even imagine how you're feeling, but after my minor scare yesterday I got a taste of the despair. Take care of yourself.

Captain, really pleased for you, puts your mind a rest.

Just letting you know that I'm another one to be removed from the list I'm afraid. My scan today confirmed that my pip hasn't grown since 5 wks, although I had a scan last wk and this wk I have to wait another wk for another scan just as a precaution, but they have told us that we have definately lost the baby. Then they will discuss options with me as my body hasn't expelled it yet. Absolutely devestated as we've been ttc for a couple of years and this was the first one, but at least we know we can get pg.
Hopefully I will be back on another thread soon, good luck and sticky thoughts to all of you x
