(386 Posts)Can't quite believe it. Got a very very faint BFP today. Been ttc no2 for ages now.
Don't want to say too much until I have told RL but reckon I am due around about 8th Sept or so.
Ladies come and find us on the new thread - see www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2290/456377?rnd=1200266689016
New to all this - pregnancy/message boards etc.
Mixed feelings abound.
Am due on Sept 16th (or so i thought). After getting pregnant with undue haste (1st cycle of trying) feelings about parenthood are happy but terrified (equal measures).
Then had pain and bleeding on thursday (5+3) so went to EPU. Scan showed 4 week size sac, with yolk sac, no embryo. Radiographers face concerned (?discrepency between size of sac, dates and HCG 9000) and is bringing us back on friday for rpt scan.
Having been terrified about being mother, now terrified in case I am not becoming a mother.
Is parenthood always this much fun?

just to update - had my scan on Friday. They say that everything seems fine for this stage - but very early so they couldn't see much (I am the proud owner of the world's most boring scan photo!), I have to go back in a fortnight. I'm a wee bit worried because the midwife said that I'm measuring about 5 weeks, but I think I should be at least 6. Guess I'll just have to wait.

I've been lurking for a few days since getting a BFP last Tuesday. My EDD is Sept. 20 (though given how strong and early MS came on and multiple strong BFPs last week, I'm questioning if it's not earlier...).
I've added myself to the list below and look forward to getting to know all of you.

becaroo - i get pains in my right ovary if im blowing my nose!! as ive had this cold now a week before Xmas and now its on and off..i believe this is common when you first fall pg!
oh and ive been in a foul mood all day!!!! as im so knackered now due to re-arranging my Dd's bedroom furniture mixed with her older sisters furniture (my DP's dd who is 8) ans also they got a bunk bed too, so ive got my DD's old bedroom for the next baby.
lilypink - my boobs started to be very tender on 3dpo....and then it calmed down 4 days later but on NYE..it was killing me!..
Well i be honest as im shitting myself with my boobs too!!! as before i was pg with DD, i was 36DD and went up to 44EE..then after birth it stayed at 34FF....now ive put on abit of weight so im a 36FF.....hope it stays at that!! !! There is a piccy of my when i was 3 days near to my due date...(i was 12 days late)!!
DG...I am already a 36DD
I will need some sort of trolley to wheel them round on soon!!!!!!
Glad the crampy pain isnt just me... (feeling a hypochondriacal at the moment!)
becaroo god yeah! painful waves of discomfort through my womb woke me up this morning, any other cycle it's usually a mad dash for tampons...but I fumbled for an hpt as my temp stayed high. I'm going to continue to take my temps for a couple of weeks just to make sure they stay high...
PMSL at excitable furtively sniffing lemons perhaps grate some zest and use it as snuff?
<DG waves back to becaroo >
Anyone else getting crampy AF type pains? I am only 4 wk + 3 but am a bit (bit!!) paraniod due to mc..........
Thanks for all your kind wishes girls. I'm not going to post on the thread again so that it drops out of my "threads I'm on" list, but I will be thinking about you all.

lilypink my sore boobs started at about 6dpo but only in the morning (tbh I think that was just regular cycle symptoms - would have been way too early to be anything to do with PG). the soreness would fade in the day and come back in the evening...then by 8dpo it got stronger. now at 10dpo it's constant, but bearable. I'm sure as the hCG builds up so will my symptoms.
however, my boobs are now properly filling out my bra. I've always been a slightly baggy B-cup (too big for an A). Can't wait for them to get bigger!
Hello.
Been lurking since yesterday when I got my bfp <<<<waves to DG>>>>>>>
Had a mc just before xmas so really surprised I got pg again so quickly (cd 17 by my reckoning).
Delighted though!!
Almost didn't post as I don't want to jinx anything (and then I remembered I'm not superstitious!!)
Think I am due on 19th Sept. and I have one ds aged 4.5.
Symptoms are sore boobs and some nausea (esp. yesterday morning which is why I tested)
Hope to be on here for the whole hog this time!!!
Yay DG, it's so good to see you here! And welcome to everyone else!
So sorry to hear your news mawbroon, best of luck for next ttc effort.
Had nice weekend, except told my cousin, which wasn't intentional... whoops. Am going to have to tell my mum soon or the news is going to get back to her.
Longer post later when I have fed myself and read the rest of the posts properly.
Hmm. Tried sniffing a half lemon we had in the fridge. I squeezed it a bit to give it a fighting chance, but I'm not sure how long I'm supposed to sniff it for. I have a cold wet nose now, but can't really report a drop in sickness levels. Not sure if this will work, but will continue my research on a covert basis. And ignore my Mum's voice in my head "If Biglips told you to jump off a cliff, would you do that too?" I'm sure it does work, I just felt a bit silly.
Thanks DG and Biglips I have read that link - but had just been explaining to DH how glad I am you're here, because you do exactly that. You are the Queen of Research and no-one can take THAT crown away from you!
Biglips SNIFFING LEMONS?? Are you sure? Going to try this while DH is in the toilet - don't want to explain to him why I'm trying this - he might just explode with the stress of it all!!
I've had tender boobs since before I found out I was pregnant. I was thinking of starting a thread called "What the feck is wrong with my tits?" I was about 4 weeks when it started. It's remained fairly constant.
Can I hijack and quickly ask - when did you all get tender boobs? If so did it come and go?
Thanks!
