@Chooklass I'm 40+1, wondering if MW will call me this week for a check up xx

@Viletta I am just behind you at 39+5. I feel like I am constantly symptom spotting again, but for labour this time! Hope you're feeling ok?

@FlapJackered nice to hear from you! So true about symptom spotting! I'm feeling fine apart of getting tiered easily. I'll try to distract myself with knitting and reading tomorrow and will try not to think about labour at all. How are you feeling? Have you spoken to your MW, do they offer monitoring?

I saw my midwife today and she said she's happy for me to chill and wait till 42 weeks. If I go beyond they'll be monitoring me on the ultrasound. So far all is well and I'm holding off the induction. I was surprised midwife didn't push for it and happy for me to wait, 40+4 today and no sign of anything coming. I've researched risks of induction and hopefully I'm making the right decision with waiting.

That's great your midwife is so relaxed! Got everything crossed your baby gets to make his way out in his own time!

@Viletta that’s good that your midwives are so relaxed. Mine were very chilled about everything as well. As it happens though my little one decided to make an appearance in the early hours of her due date. She was obviously in a rush to be out with some dramatic breaking of waters(that they say only happens in the films) and then born within 2hrs. She’s absolutely perfect (apart from wanting to feed all night long!) all 8lb10 of her!

Fingers crossed your little one makes an appearance soon.

@Littlelot congratulations! She is very punctual 😊 glad to hear all went well and quick! Interesting how with the known due date they still come at different times. Hope you are enjoying the hectic time of early motherhood despite sleepless nights!

How are you doing @Viletta ? I hope you are at least comfortable if baby is still to arrive! I am 40 weeks tomorrow and midwife has agreed to leave me alone for another week, it's nice not to be pressured into sweeps or inductions yet. I'm bouncing on my birth ball a lot to keep baby in a good position!

@Chooklass We had our little boy at 41+2, latent phase lasted 12h one day, then stopped for a day, then resumed again for 12h, stopped and continued the following night, baby was born at 11am, long labour! Hypnobirthing helped a lot, I just tried to get over one thing and not thinking of the next step. Dozed off between contractions and found pushing and crowning not painful. No induction to begin with, only a bit of oxytocin at the end as I was pushing for 4 hours, no pain relief apart of gas and air, had episiotomy, but no instrumental delivery as planned. Home midwives were all on the call that night, went to the midwifery unit. Laboured in the pool until we realized I had meconium in waters so had to be transferred to the labour ward. If not in there I don't think I would end up with episiotomy but whatever. We both are doing great, having lots of cuddles and start of sleepless nights! Labour was a very weird experience, I was struggling but internally mostly because everything annoyed me and was thinking I just want this to be over... I don't really remember it as being that painful though, just overwhelming. I only was too tiered and was kind of passing out a bit and feeling outside of my body. We both are in love with our little man though, he was worth it! How are you doing? No sign of anything starting yet?

Congratulations @Viletta !!! Sounds like you coped really well with a long labour and some unexpected twists and turns! Now you can just enjoy your little boy ❤️.

No sign from me! Two of the other girls look like they might use my due date today though! 🤞😆
