I'm starting this early as I've just found out I'm due at the beginning of May!

I had a MMC earlier this summer, followed by a CP so it's been pretty miserable. This one was quite a surprise, as we weren't planning on trying again until 1-2 years from now... I have 2 DCs, aged 3 and 16 months.

I'm hopeful but scared - but trying to stay positive.

I took a clear blue test today and saw a faint positive. I'm 3 days late with my period. It's so amazing that I was JUST counting the potential birth month of our child (if I'm actually pregnant) and it would also be in May..

We weren't trying either. In fact we're 6 months married but I won't question it. My husband has been supportive and is looking forward to a positive test. I will try again on the weekend to see if there's a darker line.

I'm more nervous than excited. I just want to be sure this is actually something.

@TonyAnn These early days are definitely nerve-racking.

Every time, I tell myself I won't test until my period is at least a week late - but I always test early... I can't help it!

I'm keeping everything crossed that it'll be good news for both of us.

I wasn’t sure if there would be a thread yet!

I’m due early May with my second :)
I’ve been feeling sick since 7dpo and I’m bloated to about the size of my 24 week bump from my first pregnancy.

Keeping everything crossed for you

Hi guys

Me and my partner have been trying for 6 months and every month has always been bad news so have been pretty anxious and down over this time! .....
It’s still 3 days until my period is due but I can’t help but do an early detection test and this morning I got a positive result!!! Ordered some better quality first response tests to arrive tomorrow so will keep re testing to make sure. My early symptoms have definitely made a presence so trying to feel positive Smile. I’ve worked out I would be due 14th may! X

Congrats all!

I don’t have a perfect due date yet but probably the first week of May. This is my second - also have a 21mo.

I had a BFN (clearblue digital) two days before AF was due, and quite strong BFPs (first response) today when AF was due. Just putting it out there to help other people who might end up searching “BFP after BFN?” as I did a few days ago..!

Hi all, Also just found out I am pregnant, due 8th May 2021. This is my first, though we did try in 2018 and it didn't work out. So... excited, but naturally nervous...unsure what will happen with all this covid situation still prominent.
I've sent off a referral to hospital midwives and calling GP in the morning... unsure what else to be doing atm, googling seems like info overload.
Really glad this thread is here. Nice to meet you all xSmile

Hi everyone, I just tested positive yesterday and am 4+1 (not sure what my due date is!) This is my 8th baby, I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks back in May so I've not told anyone yet and just need someone to talk to. Anyone else got a big family?

HomeTogether · 01/09/2020 22:11

@Captainchaos8 Congrats! I’m expecting baby number 3 4th May. Not a big family but feels big to me, as I’m still trying to get my head around having number 3 and feeling up and down, worried juggling it all, but my two elder kids (DS 7 & DD 4) will be in school by the time baby arrives so I’m hope it will be ok...Confused

Hi everyone, after nearly 2 years of trying DH and I finally got our BFP for our first, due on 9th May. It was a complete shock as we were in the process of being referred to fertility. I've been feeling dizzy pretty much since I tested. Got my first GP appointment today (I've got fibromyalgia so need to have a medicine review which is why it's so soon), hoping it will start to feel a bit more real after that, it doesn't feel real having waited for so long!

Congrats everyone! 🤗
Just found out I'm expecting my 3rd, I had my first little boy who unfortunately died when I was 17 weeks pregnant due to Edwards syndrome, and have a 2 year old daughter keeping me busy 😂 anyone have symptoms yet? I feel sick already this time! 🤢

Congrats to all of you! I found out today - due middle of May with my second, already have DS 2.5. We've been trying for over a year now so very surprised to have been late for my period and have a positive test! Not quite sure how to process it yet, obviously I'm pleased but I'd just this past month accepted that it might not happen and was even contemplating selling the old baby stuff we've kept!

Hi all, found out I’m pregnant at the weekend and couldn’t be more excited. Not sure if I am 4+3 or 5+3 weeks along as I only came off the pill recently, had one period and now I’m pregnant. All happened a lot quicker than expected. Anyone been in a position like this where they’ve not long come off the pill and so aren’t 100% sure of their cycle length? How do you calculate when you don’t know, any advice greatly appreciated! And congrats to you all!

Congrats! And I'm in exactly the same position as you! Came off the pill, had one period and here we are at what I think is 4+1 🤗
I used the NHS estimated due date calculator, as I've no idea when I ovulated so it's hard to tell! Mine gave me a date of 17th May although it usually changes a little bit when you have your dating scan at 12 weeks. It's usually counted from the first day of your last period if that's any help working out if you're 4 or 5 weeks along? X

Congratulations to you too! Well the first day of my last period was 1st August which would make me 5+4 today but I feel like it’s probably more 4+4 as I have a history of 35 day cycles! I guess time will tell.

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your bfps! Please can I join? I got my bfp a couple of days ago but wanted to wait until today (the day of my expected period) to make sure it was not a chemical pregnancy. I am officially 4 weeks today! I suffered a miscarriage at 8 weeks last month (my first pregnancy) and have had one cycle in between. I am feeling very lucky but at the same time terrified history will repeat itself. I pretty much bled the whole 6 weeks from implantation to loss, it was horrible, it was like waiting for the inevitable. I havent had any blood yet this time so I am praying this pregnancy will work out!

I’m sorry to everyone else who has experienced loss too.

When would you all recommend going to the doctor to confirm your pregnancies officially? I literally went straight away last time and the drs cheapies didnt even pick up the hcg!

@May2021excited Yeah the 12 week scan should reveal more! Hopefully it’s 5+4 for you, less time to wait 😂 is it your first baby?

@Jsygirlgsy Congratulations!! So sorry to hear about your miscarriage though, I lost my first little boy at 17 weeks too so I know how loss can feel ❤️ Unless you’re considered high risk I prob wouldn’t bother with the Dr, they’d just do a pregnancy test the same as you have done and tell you to book in with midwife at around 8 weeks! x
