Got a bfp today, had my Mirena out at the beginning of March, didn't bother trying in April with the uncertainty of lockdown etc. I'm 38 with one DS aged 6. Due date will be around 2nd Feb but assuming all goes well I'll be an elective section so probably last week in January sometime?

Looking forward to some company! Get testing!

@JessicaPeach hi congratulations.. I got my bfp today also. This was our first cycle for baby #2. I didn't expect it to happen so quick. My little one is 13 mo and still breast fed. I have mixed feelings for this news. My first was emergency c-section due to being high risk. My due date is around 7th Feb 2021 and 8th Feb is my birthday :)

Congratulations! I can't quite believe it happened so fast! Hopefully there will be more of us soon

Hi all... i had by BFP last week, due date around 5th Feb. But will likely be end of Jan due to being high risk because of my previous pregnancy that ended in an emergency c-section... my lovely daughter who is now 9 years old. She was born 10lb7oz!

Another! Welcome! My first baby was 9lb 5oz, born at 38w, dramatic birth to say the least.

I think even at this early point in my last pregnancy we had about 50 people on our birth club thread, just shows the difference in the middle of a pandemic. Talk about timing!

Hey ladies, can I join?

I got my BFP last Sunday at 12DPO. Still very early. 4+5 weeks I think, due 3rd of February. Feeling anxious as we just recently had a miscarriage!

Anyone for Feb 2021?

Hi! Can I join? I got my bfp yesterday and I tested this morning with a digital which said pregnant 1 - 2 weeks. According to the NHS due date calculator I am due beginning of February 2021. First pregnancy after 2 cycles so all feels a bit surreal at the moment! Smile

@Windyberry @JessicaPeach

Congratulations Fiona! Thanks for joining us!

How are we all feeling? I'm 5w today and apart from a bit of sore boobs in the mornings at feeling fine. Keep reminding myself that it's very early days, trying not to get my hopes up really given my age, a mmc has always been a fear of mine.

Thanks! It's all a bit surreal, I'm trying to not get too excited until I'm a bit further on as I'm worried something might happen so trying to remain calm but it's also very exciting. I am 4 weeks according to the NHS calculator so still early days. Only symptoms are being tired and wanting to go to the loo all the time haha.

Hello! Thanks for starting this thread.

I got my BFP last week, due 5th Feb. I'm 37 with a 5 yr old DS. Hopefully I won't have to fight too hard for an elcs this time around. Previous birth was a traumatic instrumental, not going through that again!

Congratulations Szalinski! Similar to me, before I was even discharged last time more than one person told me unprompted that I'd be an elective section next time so not expecting to have to fight for it at all really.

Fiona, I used the what to expect website to calculate as it gives gestation in weeks and days which seems much more important at this stage lol

Congratulations to you too and everyone else who's tested positive Smile

I'm not sure why I've convinced myself that they won't say yes. Maybe because the midwifery care was crap last time. I'm envisaging them blowing me off saying 'oh you'll be fine, second births are easier'

I think I'm going to request a debrief of my last birth, I think that will help them make the decision

Thanks for the website - apparently I'm 4 weeks and 3 days, due on 6th February :-)

Yes good idea. The hospital I went to do a debrief thing but I'm not sure if it's running at the moment. Part of me would rather not relive it and it's taken me years to feel ready to have another one! I can't blame that all on the birth, but it didn't help matters Grin

Morning, congratulations everyone ! Just got my BFP this morning after waking up at 2 am with sickness ! Been trying for 6 months after we had a miscarriage in December. Fingers crossed this time ! Ps.... Is anyone thinking of surprising OH with the news on father's Day not sure if I can keep the secret for a few more weeks haha

Report
fiona2911 · 03/06/2020 07:40

@HereWeGoAgain21 congratulations on your bfp! I had the same thought but when I googled when Father's Day was I figured there was no way I could keep it a secret for that long haha lovely idea though if you think you can, it would be really special :-)
