Hi, I'm due 12th Nov 2020.

how is everyone coping in this isolation. Have you told friends and family yet??
We havent as I have had 2 previous losses so we are waiting but being in isolation is making it feel so lonely and nervous about appointments. I still haven't had my letters from the hospital about my scan/booking app. Has anyone else yet??

Thanks
Jen

Hi

I am due in early November too. I’ve been finding it all quite difficult. I’m 43 and have had 3 consecutive miscarriages. One a missed miscarriage found at 12 weeks and another after the heart beat had been found at 10 weeks. Then an early chemical miscarriage. This was all over 10 years ago so I’m shocked but happy to be pregnant.

I’ve not had the support I had when I had my second pregnancy. No early scans etc and my first scan was booked for 13 weeks! I did call up during the week and they moved it forward by a week and I got to speak to an antenal nurse that day! Plus she got me in the next day to do my bloods and give me my vitamins.

I’m finding the uncertainty difficult but it has helped to know there are others in the same position! I’ve been convinced I’ll have another miscarriage but after seeing the nurse I’ve felt more positive.

Hope everyone else out there is doing ok. It’s a difficult time!

Hi @Littlestone,

Congrats on this pregnancy and so sorry about your losses too.

I have had 2 scans already (I had some bleeding) and so far so good, I'm still so nervous tho. I have my NHS midwife and scan on the same day (20th) I'll only be 10weeks then. So I've found a private antenatal care closer to where I live so will be going there after to keep an eye on things...

Stay positive 🤞🤞🤞 for you.
Are you still working??
I'm not, which has helped in one way as it means I have actually rested for a change, on the other hand I have too much time on google 🙈

Wishing you a happy healthy 9months 😍

Hi! Thanks for getting back to me! The EPU are being so strict about scans although the lovely nurse who took my bloods told me that the obstetrician I’ve been assigned has requested a scan for me. The EPU have said I would need to have heavy bleeding for 2-3 days before they would scan. All the private scan clinics are closed too so this has been a lesson in patience for me!

It’s hard when you have had losses before isn’t it. I’m working from home at the moment which has actually been a blessing in disguise. My job is stressful and involved a lot of travel so it’s good that I’ve been able to rest. I’ve felt so awful since I got pregnant but the nurse said that’s a really good sign!

Fingers crossed for you! If you have got this far then that is really positive, especially if your scans so far have been fine. My scan is on the 30th but I’m hopeful I will get one before!

Let me know how you get on, I have my 12week scan on the 30th too.
I also have been so exhausted and sick feeling, not actually being sick, but feeling off, hungover like really most days, I'm taking it as a positive sign. It's good being able to nap most days...

There is an EPU in central London that does walkins so after the first bleed i went there and they scanned me straight away...

At least you have your obstetrician and midwife sorted and seems like there are helping you. I ended up going private as I couldn't even get through to my hospital midwife... I shall meet them on the 20th tho, nervous because of this coronavirus situation, and I think I'll have to go in alone... have yours said no partners allowed??

Keep me updated, fingers crossed for you hun xx

Yes let me know how you get on too. I'm in Scotland and I can't even go to a private clinic. They are all closed 😢. I really wanted to pay to get all the antenatal tests done. Maybe they will open in a few weeks. Not feeling very optimistic tho!

I feel hungover constantly as well! Sick but never throwing up! So glad I am not having to commute and be stuck on planes and trains constantly!

Will be keeping everything crossed for you but it all sounds really positive SmileSmileSmile

Hi lovely ladies!

I have had a BFP come up on a clear blue test with 3+ roughly calculating my due date is early November! Had absolutely no idea until it dawned on me that my period hadn't shown up (too busy with our wedding and making sure everything went smoothly!!).

Sent my email off to the midwife today so hopefully I will hear back soonish (considering the current situation) about my appointment!

Looking forward to chatting to you all! Grin

Hi @Snowboard14

Thank you! I'm sure I will, it's understandable they will be a bit busy at the moment so I'm not going to panic yet. Really? How long did you wait to chase them?

Yes this will be my first. Is this your first too?

Snowboard14 · 12/04/2020 07:11

Yes @Rundle90, well 3rd pregnancy but 🤞🤞🤞 first baby.

I started chasing at 8 weeks, as I'd put my paperwork in at 6, so keep an eye on on as your bloods and 12weeks scan are important...

I'm really starting to feel excited about this one now. Roll on 30th for that scan 😍

@Snowboard14 oh hun I'm sorry to hear about your previous losses. Either way congratulations on your pregnancy!

I will for sure, I'll give them maybe 10 days or so and give them a poke, see if I get a response haha.

I can imagine! Hopefully the 30th comes quickly for you!!

@Snowboard14 not too bad actually. I've had a few days where I feel really nauseous, like I have been on a really rocky boat other days I feel fine. The main thing is I feel sooo bloated, which is somewhat uncomfortable.

How are you feeling? I saw you've felt a nauseous too!

@magvdamme its probably nothing to worry about but phone EPU/midwife and get it checked out.
I've had stretching pains, and have only had sharp pain when I sneeze. Have you taken paracetamol?? X
