Anyone else out there due in October?

I did a test this morning and I'm due on the 5th.

I’ve done a test today too, think I’m due October 3rd!

Ah, someone to talk to!

Do you have any other children?

It feels strange to know I'm pregnant so early - last time I didn't find out until I was about 5 and a half weeks.

Fingers crossed for sticky ones for both of us.

Yes I have a 2 yr old, what about you? I knew early then as well but just means longer worrying! How are you feeling?

I have a three year old. I knew this morning that I was pregnant - the shower made me vom so I did a test. Other than that, nothing at the moment. How about you?

Ooh I've been checking for this!
I got my bfp on thursday and will be 4 weeks tomorrow. Due 4th October all being well.

Very nervous because I've had 3 pregnancies: 1) mc at 8+4 2) ds1 who is 4 3) termination for medical reasons at 22+4

Off we go again 🙈🤞

I'm sorry for your losses treacle. I'm not surprised you're feeling anxious at the moment. I had a mc at 8 weeks too, before my pregnancy with Dd.

Was your tfmr caused by something which may happen again or is it unlikely to reoccur? (Don't answer if I'm being too nosy!)

I had hyperemesis with my pregnancy with Dd and so I'm going to the GP next week to talk through plans for this pregnancy. Hope that your sickness isn't too bad this time seren.

Thank you @Greeniac. I'm sorry to hear that, miscarriages are such a lot to deal with.

Thankfully it wasn't an issue that either mr or my husband pass on so it was just a really crazy fluke. It was a ridiculously rare genetic abnormality but they have assured us we're not at more risk of it happening again. Though we will be offered lots of tests because once you've had one you are slightly more at risk. If that makes any sense.

Hi guys, due 2nd October. Already have 3 Children aged 4, 7 & 13. Had a miscarriage in September at 6 weeks after TTC for a year.
Quite nervous this time round after the MC.
I had quite bad morning sickness with all 3 of mine. I was in hospital with in on my first. I'm almost looking forward to it as I'll feel more like I'm pregnant then 🤣

Wow @Sunflower1608 you have your hands full, how has your family managed each time you have a new addition? I’m really worried about my 2 year old!
Hope you get a little sickness to feel preg but not much

@Serendipper My eldest will probably threaten to move out when I tell him🤣. He's autistic but amazing with baby's, struggles when they get to toddler stage as they're feral and he can't manage them. My younger two will be super excited. Once the baby arrives, it does all slot in to place. You're an experienced mum now and will feel alot more relaxed. It's just finding ways to include older siblings that make them feel valued and important such as getting clothes for you, helping with changing etc. Getting them to join in with their own doll. And making sure they get some one on one time to like special bed time stories. I can't wait to do it all again 😍

Hi ladies,

Tentatively joining, due on 4th October by my calculations (which is my Dad's birthday), so 4+1 today. I have a four year old DD, she'll be five in August.

I had two miscarriages last year; one MMC at almost 11 weeks (the baby had died at 9 weeks), and one early one at 5 weeks.

I'm struggling a bit to get my head around another baby. I'm so used to it just being the three of us and life is so much easier now. I'm worried about starting all over again with a five year old.

I hope you're all feeling good so far. I knew I was pregnant a week ago as my boobs started hurting but didn't test until Saturday. Strong line appeared almost immediately. I e been having occasional crampy stretchy uterus feelings too.

Ah that's great @treaclepie19, it's nice to have someone in the same boat! How do you feel about the age gap? I've been obsessing over it for about the past two years, losing sleep over it. Then found out I was pregnant almost exactly a year ago and thought that would be a nice gap (was due 18th Oct last year) but then that didn't happen. I'll be 37 in May so now I'm worried I'm too old and the age gap is too big, but I guess the baby will slot in and the dynamic will be what it will be. Has your son asked for a sibling? My daughter has said a few times that she'd like a baby sister, particularly after she started school, but equally she says she doesn't want one Confused.

@Birchwoods I've worried about the age gap too. I was pregnant in 2018 and it ended in a TFMR. That age gap would only have been 3.5 years so I feel the same way.
Theres 5 years between my husband and his brother and they get on well so I'm trying to focus on that.

My son always says he doesn't want one. I figure he will be fine if baby is here though.
Things will work out how they're meant to either way ❤

@Treaclepie19 & @Birchwoods I have 6 years between my first to and 3 years between my second to. The larger age gap is far easier. Only 1 set of nappys, no fighting for lap space. They have different emotional needs that you can meet, theyre more rational and can join in more. And they had a fab relationship.
This time round between my eldest and this one I'll have a 14yr age gap and 5yrs between my current littlest and new arrival.
The idea of starting again is always terrifying, but it's amazing how it just feels like you never stopped doing it.

Thanks @Sunflower1608 that is very reassuring. I suppose I just feel bad that they won't be playmates as such. But I'm sure my DD will adore him/her regardless. She has 7 cousins, the youngest of which was born on her birthday last year and she's very sweet with him.

Sunflower1608 · 27/01/2020 13:28

Aww that's lovely. They still can play mates, all mine have a crazy hour altogether. My brother's are 6 and 8 years older then me and we are all very close. And to be honest baby's are pretty boring to kids for the first year or so 😆
There's pros and cons with every age gap, don't feel sad. And your eldest will love having the responsibility of being a "big person" now.

Birchwoods · 27/01/2020 14:23

@Sunflower1608 very true, thank you. You can probably tell I've been overthinking this for a really long time! Great to hear real life experiences of a similar age gap. I'm sure my DD will relish being in charge!
