Due March 2008 - another teeny tiny thread for dial ups and mobiles

Welcome. It seems that when we get to over 400 hundred posts then dial ups and mobiles can't handle loading the threads well. Sweetkitty, I hope this helps. xx

(((sweetkitty))) xxx

i can never work out how to access the internet on my mob, well i can access butnot work out how to post but thats prob good as i would end up with a huge bill

interesting that if your dp is fertile he should produce girls, my dp is obviously fertile given how easily i have gotten preg, but we have three boys, guess there will always be someone to go against the statistics tho

Hello, newbie here, think eta 30 March as I'm coming up 6 weeks? (already got 1 ds, 2+half). Not really any symptoms to speak of, but getting a bit fat... Didn't think I was overeating so I'm having to cut out puddings and my bedtime bowl of cereal, doh.

Haven't told the gp yet, going to go in a couple of weeks coz I'm quite paranoid about mc even though I've never had one.

Brazilianmum · 03/08/2007 12:06

Hello, I feel so hungry today. Can't stop eating. Will have to go out for lunch in a minute otherwise I will colapse.

Anyway, I was hoping one of you could let me know the meaning of the acronyns, this is my first time preg and on mumsnet so rather confused.

I keep hearing DH, DS, DP, BFP but not sure what they stand for. have managed to figure out a couple like ttc (trying to conceive) or mc(the big bad word) but the other I am not sure.

Thanks

Sorry to hear your news sweet kitty. look after yourself.
on a different note: thanks for the tip on jeans, I am unfortunate enough to work in a place that believes internet access is bad for you so can only access after work, hence erratic entries. I can't decide- should I have a bump at 6 weeks or is all the low alcohol lager giving me a pot belly? It seems so very unfair if that's the case. Never mind the fact that it feels like the day after I took my test the weather turned into perfect beer garden weather.
I had to laugh, when I got pregnant with my first it happened after the first time of trying and my husband punched air with clenched fist and shouted 'my boys done good':0!! this time it took a little longer, which is one of the reasons I seem to be finding it so much more anxious this time around.

Hi all, Thanks merryberry for redirecting me to the new thread. I'm really sorry to read your news sweetkitty .

I posted on the old thread that I feel a bit in limbo at the moment. I'm 7.5 weeks and don't see the midwife until next Friday (10th). Sometimes (actually a lot of the time) I wonder if I am actually pregnant at all, apart from the fact that I have a huge pot belly and very sore boobs. Like dayinthelife though I sometimes think it's due to over indulgence rather than baby! Perhaps it's both!!? I guess this is pretty normal, but it feels horrid - I'm tired and hungry all the time and have the energy of a slug! Does anyone else feel like this!?

Hi Lollabel

I feel the same as you, no energy or motivation and always hungry.

I have been pretty lucky on the midwife front. Have had my booking appointment and the scan is booth for 20 Aug. Second midwife appointment on 11 Sep. They seem to be pretty efficient in my area (Lewisham).

Report
merryberry · 03/08/2007 14:47

have just clocked that if i don't get an indy midwife, I don't see an NHS midwife again until 5th December. just have to attend for scan on 21st aug, rest of bloods sometime in sept.

that seems pretty minimal to me. if you've already been booked in, when are your next appts?

Hello, thanks brazilianmum. It makes me feel better to know it's not just me. I rang the surgery after I read your post and the receptionist said that the midwife will book my scan when I see her next week. Obviously I'm just desperate to know that everything's ok.

i just got my date for my scan, the 17th of aug, so not long to wait now, and its just in time to check my dates for my nuchal scan etc i see the midwife next tues as well, so it will finally seem 'real' iyswim? unfortunately i just checked dp's shifts and he is working when the scan is so he wont be able to come he was with me for all the scans for the boys, so it will be odd for him not to be, but he will be there at the nuchal scan

still feeling sick, and to make matters worse, ds3 has thrown something down the toilet and blocked it, i am leaving it for dp to sort out when he comes home from work, i cant face it.....

wendyredhead · 03/08/2007 15:36

Madboys: are you just getting nuchal or the blood tests aswell at same time?

Report
wendyredhead · 03/08/2007 15:39

Frankerooney: hi and welcome and congrats you're due same date as me! I thought I was the last...so glad you could join me.

I don't feel preg at all except for bloaty and boobs suddenly got majorly tender yesterday.

My energy levels are still sky high - I'm bouncing all day long so it's going to hit me hard when it does

3madboys · 03/08/2007 15:40

i am getting the bloods done too, tho as i am having my scan at the n&n in norwich i have to have the bloods done a week later? or something, but they give me the scan results there and then, then add the blood results to it and send me that in the post if there are no probs.

the scan is fairly accurate anyway but the bloods make it more so?

last time i went to the fetal medicine centre in london, but i cant do that this time, childcare etc, and it cost slightly less to have it done in norwich so figure i may as well get it done locally

Hiya wendyredhead, wow glad you're feeling energetic! I'm pretty lethargic at the best of times, I keep trying to warn dh that he's going to have to pull his finger out in the housework department!

My ms hit bang on 6 wks with my first pgncy so I'm bracing myself this weekend..!

Report
wendyredhead · 03/08/2007 18:48

3madboys : yup, I've opted for same as you - private nuchal scan (luckily nearby) and bloods via postal service at about 12 weeks. But I need to check because the scan place said to have blood done the day after the scan but the blood place said to have blood a week earlier!! Why is everything confusing in this pregnancy malarky?! Are you getting the Addmark test? I'd never heard of this one but eventually found something on the web and it's supposedly the most accurate of the lot. And does that mean if all's well we wouldn't need the 15/16 DS screening test that is offered to all NHS patients?

My m/w is bringing my dating scan to 11 wks because of this hurray!

Frankerooney : oh believe me I have energy for everything OTHER than housework and I'm one of those really annoying people everybody hates because I'm constantly on a high - everybody says I should never do drugs cos I'd be a total nightmare But that's just me. Like you so far this pregnancy is going exactly like the first so as you're bracing yourself for pukeytime tomorrow, I've stocked up with so much prune juice I got strange looks off the assistant . No it's not a craving, it's my anti-constipation device - the ONLY thing that works for me! Let us know how you feel over the w/e and hope it's not too bad xx

turtle23 · 03/08/2007 18:55

lolabell i feel the same. If it wasn't for sore boobs I wouldn't feel much different.
Does anyone know if there's anywhere in Surrey that does private viability scans without a referral?

Report
wendyredhead · 03/08/2007 19:00

Lolabell: can't believe another March baby! Is this going to be a baby boom or is this amount quite common I wonder? You are not alone - I took another test yesterday to make sure I wasn't dreaming it all up - and funnily I got a cute pot belly too and really tender boobs last night and so I feel a bit happier now! Crazy huh. The only thing that made me hope I was still pregnant were my elevated temperatures which I'm to admit I'm still addictively taking each morning! Hope you feel more preg soon!

Merryberry: that seems way off! Hope you possess patience. What's an Indy m/w? Will this one be your first scan?

I've seen my m/w and she's lovely but she just did a booking letter for my scan and nothing else so I'm waiting for my paperwork to come back and then she's doing a home visit (!) to do all the stuff that they do! But my 11 wk scan will be in September so ages to go yet.......

Hello,
This is the first message I've posted, although have been reading the messages after finding the site by accident. My baby is also due on the 18th March! (First baby)

hello honeycat, welcome. Fear not, we all braved it once and posted! Congratulations on your news. It's also my first. Apparently I'm due on 1st March although as far as I can work out everyone is always late with their first so once we go public I've been advised to tell people it's due middle of march - apparently it saves everyone pestering you after the due date! Anyway, that's a long way off...until then much to enjoy, endure!
I'm off to Italy at sparrows tomorrow, DH and I have just been out for an early supper, I had fish and chips, and managed to eat his chips too - a few glances from him but I assured him eating chips is the healthy way to be pregnant.
Good luck to all this week, I shall be keeping fingers crossed that everyone has a good time!

Hugs to all and welcome to any more of the baby boomers..

Hi all and welcome frankerooney and honecat (and lolabell, were you here earlier?)

so, everyone looking forward to an exciting pregnant friday night?

i am 9 weeks today, so into my 3rd month which is exciting. This was the first day I didn't have the energy of a slug. I'm really hoping my energy levels will come back to normal gradually as I like doing many things.

looking forward to a fun weekend. my sister & hubby are coming for the weekend and they know, so it should be fun and no making up reasons I can't drink. Also going surfing, so that should be fun, if exhausting.

imjin - we're having fish and chips for dinner too. so glad to hear it's the healthy way to be pregnant
