Aww I was looking for this!

13+2 days here and I cannot stand fruit anymore. Anyone else the same? Not sure if it’s the acid or the sugar but it’s making me sick. Struggling to eat my usual healthy diet at the minute as all that I seem to want and settle my stomach is bread.

badfurday · 31/05/2019 20:07

I'm the same with bread. I'm loving on cheese and cucumber sandwiches randomly! I cannot stomach tomatoes, in any form, even tomato sauce or pizza/pasta sauce 🤢
Apart from feeing a bit tired, feeling good.

Had my scan on Tuesday and bloods for downs etc. Feeling really nervous about it. Not heard back yet.

Haven’t posted since finding out I was pregnant but had my 12 week scan yesterday. Everything is looking fine :) was such a relief to tell our families yesterday evening!

Still having random bouts of sickness and nausea, either in the morning or evening and my tummy just feels uncomfortable most of the time. I’m also waking up really early in the morning and I’m unable to go back to sleep - is anyone suffering with this?

badfurday · 01/06/2019 08:25

Glad all is good forever. Sorry to hear your still getting sickness, hope it passes soon.
I'm having random early morning wake ups. On Thursday morning I woke at 2am and didn't get back to sleep until 5am 😕 that plus bloody weird dreams doesn't help!
On the weekends I'm trying to factor in a nap when DH is home to look after DD, seems to help a bit.

@badfurday gosh a 2am wake up sounds awful! Naps are key to getting through the weekends I’m finding!

Hi, i keep popping in and out. How everyone is feeling better, or will be soon at least.

I find that I'm not tired generally, bit I'll save it all up for certain days when i feel dead. I felt like that last week and really couldn't even think straight.

I keep waking up at 4am, 1hr before my alarm for work. Normally cos i need to pee but i find i can hold it and just go back to half sleep. If i get up i can't. Annoying.

I just want my proper bump and to feel my baby!

12 week scan next week. Hope it tallies with my private scan i had a couple of weeks ago.

I also found out that achieving to my first scan they dated me for the 13rh Dec. Which is a Friday! Good thing I'm not superstitious. Hilarious.

Good luck for your scan fonxey :) seems early morning wakes up are quite common unfortunately!

It's not fair! Come on body... We will be getting zero sleep after baby is born, we should be stocking up on it now not being woken up at every forsaken hour.

@bobble53 I am 13+2 due on Dec 5th!! I'm slowly getting over the sickness and have that awful taste in my mouth just slightly now. Slowly getting my appetite back but I've been really good with fruit. I was also eating a lot of bread, I seemed to only eat bread for the past 3 months x

I was wondering why id stopped getting emails from the other thread! Glad to see it's started up again here.
I'm still really struggling with eating a healthy diet. I could only eat broccoli before I was pregnant, and now I can't really stand it =( worried I'm not getting enough nutrients. Decided to stop eating chocolate and sugar etc as well, as I was really overdoing it.
Had our private scan at 10 weeks, was incredible to actually see our baby, it wouldn't stop moving about. Just have to get through the next week or so until our 12 week NHS scan and then hopefully I can stop hiding it from everyone coz it's exhausting

I sent my scan photo to the nub techs out of curiosity and for the sake of £10 and it came back inconclusive because it’s such poor quality! I wish they’d have given us a better scan. I’m saying boy by the shape of it’s skull - roll on 3 weeks where I find out for real at our gender scan we’ve booked!

Filled up last thread. My due date is now 22 December after being out back a week and I have to go back for another scan next week as the baby was like a mm off the minimum side for the combined screening!

I want this week to hurry up so bad, on Monday 10th I've got my 12/13 week scan.

Apparently according to my midwife my bloods came back all ok, which I'm surprised about because I was anaemic with my first baby and haven't taken any iron tablets since I gave birth 2.5yrs ago.

I want to get excited about the gender but I feel like if I wish too hard for a girl, I'll be really disappointed if it's a boy and I don't want to feel that way.

@badfurday 2am wake ups and then insomnia is exactly the same for me! I am so exhausted by 7pm but sleeping through the night is impossible!
13+3 today for me xx

Hey all.
Just had my screening results back and am worrying. Spoke to a good friend and she said not to panic.
Letter came through and said low risk, but the chance of trisomy21 is 1:154 which is good for my age (39). But just a touch worried. Don't know whether to go for the private harmony test. 😳

For being 39 that's a result I would be happy with.

Harmony may just worry you more. I am almost thinking about refusing it (it's standard for geriatric mothers in the US.)

Report
bobble53 · 04/06/2019 20:34

I agree that it might make you worry more. I’ve not had any screening because any result would have made me worry so it wasn’t worth it for me!

I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and just had to get some Fybogel from the chemist. I’ve not been to the toilet in 4 days and if I didn’t look pregnant before, I certainly do now!! Blush

userabcname · 05/06/2019 17:36

Would a harmony test stress you out more though? Those don't sound bad results at all!

I had my 20w scan yesterday and after being told boy at my 16w gender scan, the sonographer yesterday said girl! So that was a surprise! Not sure who to believe now!

Just got my screening results back. It’s say I’m lower chance but what is the highest figure they use for the T21? as my result for T18/T13 is a LOT higher. Not sure if that makes sense!

Report
forevercurious · 06/06/2019 13:15

For example: for Down’s syndrome (T21) I got 1 in 10,000 but for Edwards’/Patau’s (T18/13) I got 1 in 100,000 - just seems to be a huge difference in numbers!

T21 is far more common than T13/18 -- the results are always like that, with T21 being a "greater risk".

Report
forevercurious · 06/06/2019 19:13

Thankyou for explaining. I knew it was far less common but the huge difference in numbers left me wondering ...
