Hello all!

Random question but what happens when we all have had our babies - is that the end of our group!?

I was thinking about this earlier

@AliceRR we have a lovely Facebook group that's migrated from MN if you want to join?

(Sorry just quickly lurking here as it came up on active threads! Don't think I've posted since the very early days but have been on the Fb group)

@tinysalmon I’m on the Facebook group that came from this group if that’s what you mean? Makes more sense that that one would continue I guess - thanks 😊

We can always do a postnatal group for those (ie. me) who don’t do Facebook!

Yeah I don’t have FB either so postnatal group would be good. Especially as I’m a first timer and will have no clue what I’m doing once that little baby is placed in my arms! Lol 😂 x

Anyone else waking up to the ice kingdom? Be careful ladies looks really bad across the country.

I am hibinating away today other than a breast feeding class later at the hospital. Has anyone else had one? Its 4hrs long so unsure what to exspect tbh.

Has anyone experienced intense shooting pains in there boobs?! I’ve been leaking milk/colustrum for weeks and lots of it, so have just been hand expressing into bottles to relieve some pressure. Literally just gently squeezing my nipples and it comes out. But last night and this morning I have this intense sharp shooting pain in my left boob alongside a huge headache. The headache could be from the worst nights ‘sleep’ as I was up about 7 times last night. This pain is so uncomfortable in my boob. Anyone else had something similar?

Yakadee · 23/01/2019 08:06

@MrsY87 - oh man! 😩

@MummyBM - I can't say I have, sorry. Sounds painful though. I haven't had any milk at all? X

@Yakadee I know! So frustrating!! On the plus side at least it might mean I can have a a couple of nights sleep at home in my own bed before they break my waters at the weekend!

Definitely up for a post baby group here - I’m not on Facebook either.

I was banished to the spare room as I’m so wriggly and have started snoring DH had to get up early for an important work thing. I didn’t mind as he had one of those wakeup lights so didn’t want to be woken up, and I wanted to see if the softer memory foam might help me sleep. It’s definitely much less uncomfortable when I’m rolling over so might stay in here! I got a diffuser too, I thought with the hearing etc the dry air might be making my breathing worse, I think it may have helped a little and might come in handy with the baby too so not wasted money.

Was definitely grouchy yesterday, cat is doing both our heads in. He’s stopped eating his normal food all together so wasted loads of money on it and has become so demanding and the last thing I want to do is play with him for hours. We are genuinely having to think about whether we can keep him as he can get very angry when he doesn’t get attention and claw up legs etc. I think we should have considered getting a kitten ages ago and maybe they could be friends and play (he’s too timid for another adult cat!). Somehow more cats seems like a stupid solution though! The cat used to be my friends so it’s a horrible decision to make :(

@welshweasel - congratulations!

My July 2016 group moved to a postnatal group and that was active for a while. It would be nice to have something like that again.

Aw @welshweasel he's beautiful : look at that scrummy little face!!

I'd be up for a post natal group on here too.

Sorry some of you are feeling anxious or grumpy. I'm sure it's just hormones and our bodies being exhausted.

Sorry if tmi but I seem to have quite a swollen and tender labia this morning! No idea what all that us about! Am 37+5 today and still waiting to hear when my section will be.....

emalady · 23/01/2019 09:30

@welshweasel congratulations! He is gorgeous.

@maxiflump that can be completely normal, just due to the pressure. Sounds unpleasant though.

I'm 38+2 now, decided to try acupuncture for labour preparation last night and had a bloody show this morning as well as some period type cramps, may actually have done something!!
