Yep, got thrush. Yuk - never had it before! Got some cream and am going to have a bath with tea tree oil. Bit worried about having it for the birth

Thanks for asking after me though

It's almost a good thing as it is stopping me being so impatient to have this baby! I feel happy to be waiting around a bit now

Only the looooonely.......

Right you biyatches (not you lulu!), I'm going to have a bath.

(That's the beauty of an internet forum - would you ever say biyatch in RL? Although I do mentally refer to DH as DH in my head and have to stop myself saying it to 'real people'!)

Hi Bumper I'm here now. Not doing anything exciting other than clearing up dog vom. That'll teach me to 'see if he likes Pizza'.
Doh.

Oh BTW am having kind of contraction-y things but with my luck it's probably just bhs.

And goo is still coming out.

Feelin' sexy....

Lets phone Uri Geller, perhaps we can have a mass visualisation of your cervix ripening? Like they do when in The Sun when they want David Beckham to score a goal or something.

Am I just getting tooooo excited for you?

foxybrown · 14/06/2007 16:14

TA, don't make me spend my entire weekend on MN waiting to see if you are going to give birth. Please get on with it!

Report
trendaverter · 14/06/2007 16:15

A few days ago, I was a bit 'ewww stop thinking about my cervix', but I am now to the point where I am like, yeah fuck it, visualise away.

I am getting lots of twinges right now. I wish I knew more about this malarchy so I could determine if they were real or not.

I am guessing not - I have had ones before that I thought were real (I even timed them) but eventuated into nothing. I will believe it's the real thing when the bugger has crowned.

FOXY. STOP IT NOW. Put away the PC and go to Oasis or something and make a shopping list of all the nice things you can wear in a few days and stop thinking about some blonde hypochondriac moron in a forum

goo?? tell me more....

Report
trendaverter · 14/06/2007 16:21

Hi lulu!
I have read many posts of yours and heard many tales of your wisdom but never had the pleasure of meeting you yet, I am 41+4 and OVER being pregnant.

I had a v painful sweep yesterday, I was 1cm dilated and 75% effaced. I had what I can only presume was a show this morning, looked like an elephant had sneezed in my knickers with bits of blood (hardly any though) and I have had tiny little bits of goo come out since.

I am now getting regular-ish pains, maybe bhs, maybe contractions, maybe I'm hungry, I never know anymore. Everytime I think it's something it ends up being nothing so I am just not worrying about it anymore!!

All I want is for it to come out so I don't have to deal with inducement/consultant palava!!

riabutterflew · 14/06/2007 16:21

Lost you there...but I found you again. You cannot hide.

TA - even though I'm on my third I don't know if these twinges are real or BH (or just in mymind - possible!). Someone somewhere needs to invent a ping noise so we know for sure!

I must go and prepare food for the existing children as nothing looks imminent enough to get me out of that!

Report
foxybrown · 14/06/2007 16:22

Oh, perhaps I should be thinking about getting tea ready instead then? Or making the children turn the farking hosepipe off before they turn the whole garden into a mud slide.

lulumama · 14/06/2007 16:25

sounds like a show, TA! that is good....is this your first ? good that your cervix is very thin and a fingertip dilated..the contractions you are having are positive...you don;t have to be induced, you can ask for expectant management...

now, i like to recommned lots of sex and nipple stim, as the best way to strenthen any twinges you are having and to help the cervix ripen....

but it does help you know!

Report
trendaverter · 14/06/2007 16:28

Yes it's my first - I have already called the hospital (I was booked in for inducement) and told them I DON'T WANT IT, I want expectant management instead, but they told me I will need to go in anyway.

They have so far applied lots of pressure on my to be induced but I figure that my body is doing all the right things albeit slowly and whilst there are no problems they will just have to roll their eyes at me cos I am not budging.

No sex last night, sweep smarted waaayyy too much, but will have a chat with DH tonight

you don;t have to go in ! no midwife is going to come to your house and drag you in...nor can they make you stay in if you go for monitoring!

sounds like you are confident your body can and is doing it !

make DH a happy man later

poo bum
Thought they might be contractions, so just fervently hoovered house to see if that urged things on, but of course it didn't, who am I kidding, all action suspended.
Might as well go cook dinner. Chicken fajitas, for those that are interested. sigh
