Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

Hey @LulaRose Smile

I got my BFP today, can't quite believe it. I'm about 4 weeks at the moment, so due either the very end of March or the beginning of April. I'm 30 and this will be my first. Can't quite believe it!

Alright really. Had a bit of a pinching sensation and a heavy sort of feeling in my abdomen last night. But other than that, completely normal! How about you?

I started bleeding 😩 Went to the EPU and I am definitely pregnant, and my test lines are progressing - so no idea what is going on!!

They have booked me in for a scan tomorrow, so hoping for some answers.

I'm still very hopeful this will turn out ok, but I'm not sure it will, sadly.

Hello, I've just found out I'm pregnant with No. 3! Can't believe I got my BFP after only 2 months (DC1 took 18 months). Think I'm due early April (touch wood). I'm thrilled but also terrified of coping with three!

@LulaRose hope all goes well at your scan. Let us know x

@LittleTipple congratulations! How old are your other 2?

@LulaRose good luck today x

@Ohnonotanotherusername my DC's are 3 and 1. It's going to be hard work, but I'm late thirties, so wanted all my baby-making done by 40! I'm glad they'll have a small age gap, but it's going to be manic.

Hello ladies! Got my bfp today, due start of April, line is very faint at the moment but it’s there! Testing in a few days to be 100% certain. Do we have a Facebook group?

Report
LittleTipple · 22/07/2018 21:42

@Shk38 my advice would be to really enjoy the pregnancy, take good care of yourself and document as much as you can. Now I'm on my third I realise how different a first baby is. You've got time to indulge in putting your feet up, lots of lie-ins, eating well (with some treats!) and letting friends and family spoil you. When you've got more than one, people aren't so excited and you have no time to even think about being pregnant! I kept a pregnancy calendar with my first (found on Amazon) and it came with various stickers like 'heard the heartbeat'. It's lovely to look back on the day we found out whether we were having a boy or girl and scan pics etc.

Oh and generally, people will give you a lot of advice. Take it on board, but decide what's right for you and your family. I had no idea how competitive and controversial parenting can be (breast/bottle, co-sleep or not, cry it out or gentle sleep training etc). Go with what feels right to you and you won't go far wrong.

Thanks sounds like good advice.

I'm so excited but very nervous of early miscarriage as I'm older than average. Seeing my GP on Friday.

Please can I join? I'm 37 with a two year old daughter, and all being well will be due on 1 April. Will make doctor's appointment next week once I get past 5 weeks, fingers crossed.

Congratulations to everyone here!

Hope Lula comes back with some good news for us.

I have no idea what is going on with my body.

I had 3 faint positives then a negative. My ribs hurt, my boobs hurt. I don’t feel myself.

Went to the nurse who said because I’ve had 3 faint positives then I probably am pregnant. I have to wait a week then test again. If no af or answers then it will be time for blood tests.

LulaRose · 25/07/2018 16:33

Sadly it's not good news from me. I tested again and only got a very faint positive, so I'm clearly having an early miscarriage.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Lula I wouldn’t put too much importance on the strength of the line x I’ve now had 3 miscarriage and the line had no bearing on the outcome of a any of my pregnancies x keeping my fingers crossed for you. I’m creeping in here, got my first positive on a proper test yesterday after having some real squinters on cheapies since Monday. Seem to be due on 7th, which is the day after ds2s birthday. This will be my fourth, my first with Dh after we’d had a string of miscarriages and gave up trying 2 years ago. I’m still not really believing this one will stick, but I started feeling queasy yesterday which I’m taking as a good sign. I’d forgotten what a lie morning sickness is! For me it’s being very very dizzy and feeling sick because of that. I’m sat here struggling to sit upright as I just want to lie down and be very very still!

Hello!!! I just got my BFP so thrilled to join this thread!

I'm 31, first baby, somehow managed to grt a BFP on the first attempt so it's all happened a lot quicker than I was expecting.

Oops I hit post before I was ready! I think my due date would be 8th April 😊 haven't been to the doctors yet - just waiting for my missed period (I've done 4 FRER tests and all clearly positive) to be sure.

BeeKeeping · 27/07/2018 09:42

Congrats @organised5 it’s so exciting isn’t it! I’m waiting for my missed period before phoning the doctor too. What DPO did you get your BFP? 🐝x

Report
organised5 · 27/07/2018 10:12

@BeeKeeping 7 dpo! I got impatient 8 days before my period and decided to do a 6 day early FRER just in case, and got a really definite line. The only thing I'm wondering is if I got the start date of my period wrong. I had heavy spotting for 2 days followed by full blown period on day 3... I was basing everything off Day 3 being the start but it could have been Day 1, and therefore I did the test 9 dpo. Due date would be 8th or 10th April depending on that!!

What about you?

Report
BeeKeeping · 27/07/2018 10:31

7dpo would be insane! I’m tempted to think it must have been 9dpo....

I wish I’d been testing early as I was drinking (a wee bit) and eating ALL the banned foods right up till 12dpo. My FRER came out very strong and I reckon I could have got a squintier at 8 or 9 dpo.

My only symptoms have been craving salty meat (Parma ham, salami, biltong, jerky..... mmmmm) and very minor cramps. Do you have any symptoms?

@BeeKeeping yes I think you are right.

The symptoms that made me think I could be pregnant were having some VERY weird dreams, frequent weeing, my skin suddenly going really dry on my face (very unusual as I normally have super oily skin), and I think I had implantation bleeding. That's what made me do the test so early! Since then I have had very minor cramps today and yesterday.

I've got one FRER left in the pack that I am saving for tomorrow morning!! Then period would be due Mon or Wed depending on which date I go with.. so guess that's when will know for sure.

@BeeKeeping also - your due date is my birthday :) excellent day to be born!!

Great news @organised5... hopefully the baby will be organised as I most definitely am not!

I rang the GP to see what the procedure for booking in was and they got me an appointment today! Very impressed. I’m asking for a toxoplasmosis screen as I am a walking advert for all of the risk factors. They also want to do a urine test (I’m weirdly paranoid it’ll come back not pregnant despite the 350 tests I’ve done!)
