Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

Hi Bun I got my BFP on Sunday at 12dpo - also (apparently) due on the 1st. This will be our first and it's been a long, hard slog to get here! Very worried with it being so early still (3w4d) but I suppose there's not much we can do at this point!

How old are your other two DC?

Oh hello @thefirsttimer! Massive congratulations to you- how lovely to have a positive after such a tough journey. It is so hard not to worry constantly. Maybe distraction is the key? Lots of nice things booked in for you and DH to enjoy over the weeks to help get you through?

My two are 4 and 2. I'm not breaking it to husband until Friday as it's our 5 year anniversary so am going to surprise him. He's severely sleep deprived thanks to dc 1&2 so the news may not be received with as much excitement as I'd ideally like...:)

Hello Bun and TheFirst! Congratulations and can I please join?

Got my bfp today. Also due 1st March. Showing as 3+3 so aware it's very early days and lots could go wrong. This is my second pregnancy, DD is 18.5 months old. Excited and petrified in equal measures!!!

thefirsttimer · 19/06/2018 23:36

Thanks Bun congratulations to you too! That is a good idea about having distractions, I think they will be needed if I'm to stay sane (and stop peeing on sticks obsessively Grin). Those are lovely age gaps. Good luck for Friday, let us know how DH takes the news!

Hi Super congratulations, 1st March is looking busy already it seems! Completely with you on the excited/petrified front.

Does it get any easier with subsequent pregnancies?!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 20/06/2018 01:29

Well I have got up to wee twice and DD has been quite unsettled so I thought I'd do some MNing!

It definitely doesn't get easier if the way I feel now is anything to go by! I'm a terrible worrier at the best of times Blush If I make it I'm going to book an early scan for when I'm 8 weeks. I cant wait until 12!

Report
SuperSharpShooter82 · 20/06/2018 01:30

PS did you ladies have symptoms before you tested? My period isn't even due until tomorrow! I had a random cold/felt under the weather at around implantation time and since then have had tingly nipples which gave it away. Also no period pains which usually start about five days before AF!

Report
BunLovinCriminal · 20/06/2018 06:28

If anything I think this time I have more of a variety of things to worry about Grin being a bit older (38) and having two kids who would be effected by my sadness over any loss etc. Yeah, I guess the high stakes mean it's full of worry of one sort of another for most of us.

I got spotting at the right sort of time to be implantation bleeding, which made me wonder and although I was having some period type cramps they didn't feel the same as they usually do, if that makes sense?

Am also booking at early scan at 7/8 weeks as cannot wait!

It's safe to say there's never getting away from the worry then! I too am a natural worrier, so I'm sure that is going to be amplified all the way through. I think I will also be booking an early scan, 12 weeks just seems so long away doesn't it? Did you both have them in previous pregnancies?

The only symptom I really had was tiredness! I haven't gone a day in the past week without at least one nap. Also been peeing through the night which is a first for me, but that's only been since I got the BFP so wasn't a giveaway. It goes to show all the symptom spotting you do whilst TTC can be quite pointless really.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 20/06/2018 10:21

I agree that the symptom spotting is often completely pointless! Both times I have been pregnant I have had no symptoms apart from sore boobs! It's so distinctive there was no mistaking it, not like all the times I have sat there convinced that minor twinge in my groin was a sign!!!

I had quite a lot of scans last time but I had cervical ectropian and had a lot of bleeds (scary and no one ever talks about how common this is!). It was great having a scan at six weeks though, twelve weeks is ages! I really hope all goes well and I can do the same this time. Although I think seven/eight weeks as I know detecting a heartbeat before this can be hard.

This second baby is much wanted and the age gap would be "perfect". The gaps between yours sound ideal Bun. However, I know all I can do now is sit tight... Positive thoughts and deep breathes!

How long had you been trying for First?

Report
thefirsttimer · 20/06/2018 19:55

That does sound scary Super, here's hoping you don't have more of the same this time around. It must have been particularly good to have the reassurance of the early scan in that case!

We've been trying for almost two years, so it's well and truly been a long time coming! It still seems too good to be true, but I will join you in the positive thoughts and deep breaths!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 20/06/2018 20:50

Ahh wow First! That really is a reason to celebrate! Did you conceive naturally or were you having fertility treatment?

Report
thefirsttimer · 20/06/2018 22:40

Thank you Super Smile. Natural-ish! I'm on Metformin for PCOS - have only just been diagnosed and started on it, and here we are already - so I think it's safe to say that was our issue!

Both DH and I had the initial testing which was all fine otherwise, so we were pretty much planning to give it a few months on the medication before exploring other options. I must admit to being relieved to now not having to go further down that route, I can't imagine how stressful it must be.

Were you trying long either time Super? How about you Bun?

Report
SuperSharpShooter82 · 21/06/2018 08:00

It must be such a relief having "an answer" First, TTC is so stressful without added worries/complications.

The first time round DH and I tried for 8 months. This time it has taken 4 months, but that's not really "trying", just not preventing.

I have some stitch like cramps/pains today but they don't feel periody. Hoping that's just the new bean getting nice and snug! Must say I do feel more chilled this time around, what will be will be and all, probably as I already have DD (who is amazing!). That said, it is still ALL I can think about! Even though I am telling myself not to get too excited I am already planning ways to tell my parents/MIL etc! Blush

Morning all! Do you mind if I join?! Just had a v faint bfp this morning (pic attached and thoughts appreciated, would rather know now if I've got line eye!); very early days at 9dpo but if I do get a sticky bean it'll be due 7th March according to my o date. So scared it might not stick around given me and dh ages (I'm early 30s and dh early 40s, after a man turns 40 apparently the chances of mc go up exponentially) but doing my best to think positive!

Hi can I join you on this nervous & exciting journey? I had a bfp this morning making me due on 1st March 2019. This is pregnancy number 3 although my 1st pregnancy ended in a mmc, I have a 3 year old daughter.

Hi Wine and Murphy!

I defo see something there! What test is that? Did you take it apart?

Sorry to hear about your MC Wine. Have you been trying a while?

I took another test today... top one is Tuesday and below is today. Definitely got darker. I'm still totally paranoid and anxious though! And getting cramps/twinges...Keep telling myself what will be will be and at least DD is keeping me busy! No

Sorry - posted too soon! No idea how you deal with a toddler when pregnant! Let alone how you deal with two children! ShockWink

Oh yes way darker @SuperSharpShooter82 - the lines suggest you're pretty safe! Are you temping too?

Yes it was a first response, I did take them apart to get a decent picture without the reflection but the lines came up before taking it apart and within the time frame so hopefully OK! I have lo's too, my ds turns 2 on Sunday and I have an 11 yo dss (dear stepson) part time too so I'm hoping they'll keep me too busy for me to obsess too much!

Murphyrocks · 22/06/2018 19:29

And hi @Wineandchoccy - congrats on your bfp! Sorry to hear about your mc but hopefully you'll have 2 lo's by March!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 22/06/2018 20:04

I won't feel safe until the baby is here! Gotta get to six weeks, twelve weeks, past all the scans and tests... argh!!

I think that if the line appeared first then that's fine! Also first response are supposed to be really reliable so it's unlikely it's a false positive/evap. Can you test again in two days? Think hcg doubles every two?

We had been trying since August 2017 not as long as last time it took 2 years 1 month last time

Report
Murphyrocks · 22/06/2018 20:19

Wow, definitely congrats then @Wineandchoccy! We've been very lucky (touch wood) that I fell pregnant on month 2 of trying both times. I was kind of expecting it to take longer this time as dh is now over 40 but maybe not!

@SuperSharpShooter82 yes I know what you mean! I intend to test each morning for a little while, on frer until I get a bfp on ic then with those - charting hcg and bbt I think is about as good an indicator you're going to get that all is well in the early weeks. I'll probably do an early scan around 8 weeks to hopefully find a heartbeat, should make me feel a bit more comfortable then!

How are you doing tonight Super have your cramps eased off at all? I've had some niggly little cramps today, just trying to tell myself it's all normal though!

Murphy I can definitely see those lines! Are you testing again in the morning?

Hi Wine congratulations! Really sorry about the mmc, fx all goes well this time around.
