It worked!

I can sympathise with all the bh fun, though at 34 +4 I'm not expecting mine to mean anything yet. Not only did I have some for a couple of hours of it while shopping but then 12-3am this morning and some when I woke up again around 6.30. Mine have also been accompanied by a general tight feeling, anyone else have that? And baby's head feels quite low down. I feel like I'm going to have more, which will make lunch out with a friend interesting.

Wildone: sorry to hear about the pre-eclampsia but glad it's been caught and you're in the best place. Jealous that you'll get to meet your LO in a few days.

Was worried I wouldn't be able to find new thread! I started using EPO internally 2 nights ago and since then during the night I've been getting fanny daggers galore! Hoping it means it's working but seems too quick so guessing a coincidence, hopefully something happening though need to make cervix as favourable as possible for sweeps...

Found you guys Grin

I'm currently hiding in my bedroom. Bad bh and an overwhelming nausea, coupled with a very strong feeling of wanting to hide Blush

Not sure what that's all about. Maybe I'm a cat?

Glitters I feel the same! Me and DH had plans to keep us busy today but I've decided I want to stay at home and hide. I totally get what you mean. I don't quite feel myself today.

Have lost more plug this morning, more very tight BH and some periody type pain now and then.

Wonder if today is our day?!

God I bloody hope so! I've emerged now. Sat on my birthing ball but it just hurts my coccyx Confused

I think I'd be ok but the bh and discomfort is getting to me now.

I keep trying to hug my dd to try and get the oxytocin going lol.

Might angle for hubby to "help" out tonight and see if that makes any difference.

Sounds promising @LuciBee231015

@ButterflyFree jealous of your haul from Peter Jones. I'm waiting until we know the size and sex before I buy anything else! Plus DH is a bit stressed about my spending! I met him at IKEA to get the cot after work on Monday and had "picked up a few bits" that cost more than the cot! We weren't even meant to have to buy a cot but the one we were given was ginormous and just didn't work for us. I'd def be up for a London meet up, prob after baby is here now as next week is really busy - mainly because I'm trying to fit in 3 sweeps before induction!

Good luck @wildone81 - my friend had pre eclampsia and was induced, all was fine.

Hope everyone feeling twinges gets to meet their babies soon Grin

Yay shiny new thread!

Finally went and brought myself a ball today, sorted the baby's clothes. Just need to pack the hospital bags and I think we're all good to go. DH getting worried about how close it is now (due 23rd but likely to be induced 16th if I make it that far!)

NCT antenatal class part one tomorrow - looking forward to it. Smile

Thanks for starting the new thread @nat2311 ☺️

@Seahawk80 I'm still yet to purchase a cot... had planned on getting the SnüzPod but then it seemed a bit OTT to spend almost £200 on it when I'll only be here with baby for a month after he's born. So yesterday in Peter Jones I think I decided on getting a Moses basket + rocking stand instead. I checked Mothercare online and they seem to have a much more comprehensive range of Moses baskets than PJ/JL so I think I'll be heading to Westfield later to check them out. Then I'll get a proper, more long-lasting cot once we're back in Dubai. A post-baby meet up would be lovely!

I haven't had any BH and I'm 35 weeks today. Baby's head feels very low though. Also to those of you who feel like hiding/hibernating today... I'm still in bed at 2:46pm if it makes you feel any less guilty 😂

In bed still at 2:46pm? #hero

I'm being naughty and running a bath with an essential oil in. Hoping it'll regulate this nonsense!

My mum brought me a jam doughnut in bed and is now reading me excerpts from her 1990s Johnson&Johnson Book of Mother and Baby Care 🙄🤔😂

Hope a nice warm essential oils bath will be soothing for you @glitterglitters 🛁

I bought a ball on Wednesday and have barely got off it since!

I'm currently dressed for a 90's hen do! Trying to find the energy to leave the house!

@seahawk80 i love Piper. We nearly chose it for our pupoy 3 yeara ago coz we were watchung orange is the new black but she ended up being poppy instead.

@wildone81 i love zachary. Apparently its what i was going to be called if i was a boy (my parents were team suprise back then). Dh didnt like the name purely because of a lad at our school that was a bit of a nob who happened to be called zach lol stupid reasoning but its funny what can put you off names.

@glitterglitters that would be a fab name choice. Phoebe buffet would be proud haha

Been painting the fence today and now im shattered. Will need another coat tomorrow then paint the posts and then might mow the grass. Got no ds until tomorrow so making the most of being able to get stuff done.

Ha yes @glitterglitters there's definitely some questionable advice in the book... rather outdated by now 😅

Enjoy the 90s theme @nat2311 💃🏼

@mynameisntLinda don't overdo it with the DIY! Take some of your free time to put your feet up too.

I'm taking Mama Butterfly to B&Q this evening to get some home & gardening bits for a few little decorating projects... anything to keep me busy and keep my mind off missing DH 😢 It's Eid tomorrow - it'll be like spending Christmas Day without your loved ones.

Phew this thread has moved quick these last few days!

@Twixes I'm glad your name dilemma is sorted, it's horrible when something is weighing on your mind.
@Not congrats on your baby! So exciting and I can't wait to see more congratulations happening over the next week.
@ButterflyFree I cannot imagine how you're feeling without DH, I would be absolutely beside myself and feel the same as you with my DH being my best friend. Can't believe his passport has been confiscated, madness.
@LuciBee231015 anything progressing further today?
@HaichM I have that feeling of incredible lowness which does make sense as MW says head its nearly all engaged but I don't think I am having BH! I'm not sure though, I do get tightening but then my bump is very tight and hard most of the time? Feeling clueless....
@wildone81 wow! Hope all goes well for you on Tues!
@Sewingbeatshousework I'm starting the EPO when it arrives tomorrow so fingers crossed it helps us both.
@glitterglitters I am chuckling at you hiding in your bedroom and lightly hissing at the door. My tailbone hurts something fierce too, I haven't got on my ball yet.

My bathroom trips have got more frequent (soz TMI) and it's not helping the piles Blush currently sat with a witch hazel pad. Wondering if this means body is getting ready though? Have had more fanny daggers too. 37 weeks on Wednesday.

We have two boy names picked and one girl but I'm sworn to secrecy I'm afraid!

That's great news you're out @wildone81 and how exciting - countdown to Tuesday! 😍

Thanks for your understanding @Algebraic 💐 I'm trying to put a brave face on it, especially for my mum because she gets torn up when she sees me sad, but it's really difficult...

I keep meaning to ask you all - has anyone bought (or used after a previous pregnancy) any kind of tummy wrap/belt/support to encourage everything to shrink back into the right proportions postnatally...? I've heard of a website called Mothershape.com but there's such a huge variety of styles I don't know where to begin. If anyone has any recommendations, please do share!
