Found it-- marking my place

Hi everyone!

I had a phone call this morning from the mental health midwifery team (not sure on the exact title), to check how I'm feeling. My midwife referred me as I had quite severe post natal depression last time and i am off my medication. I explained I'm feeling fine at the moment and was fine throughout pregnancy last time. They are going to arrange a home visit for later in pregnancy to do a care plan for after the baby is born, with extra visits etc as that's what I'm worried about. Felt quite reassured by it as I didn't really get any support the first time.

Found you all! Marking my spot Smile

Marjory that sounds really reassuring of them to do, hopefully if you were to need any extra support, they'll have it planned for you thanks to being organised early on x

Yeah I was pleased, didn't really expect to hear anything! I nearly burst into tears as still feel quite raw about that time Blush

I just had to go and find a bra big enough for my ever-expanding boobs. It looks like the sort of King you'd use to cover an Olympic swimming pool!! Shock

Report
GinIsIn · 21/09/2016 13:44

Thing, not King. But King works too in that it's a kingsize bra!!

Found you! I just tried to post on the previous thread and it wouldn't let me.
Wanted to add one of these or similar to the baby stuff lists
www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-K4562-Rainforest-Gym/dp/B000FFL58Q?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
I got ours on an Amazon deal for about £20 so worth checking. We used ours for ages.
London most people have and like changing tables. I just have a baby that likes to throw herself off things!
That's great news Marjory. Hopefully with extra support you can avoid PND this time.

marjory that's great!

I am still wearing my old bras as I can just about fit in them but I need to get measured for some new ones. I was face-timing with my MIL last night and when I got up to show her my bump, she said 'forget about the bump, look at the bosom!'

twocatsandatoddler · 21/09/2016 13:46

London we still use our changing table even though DS stands up and dances around on it now! I found changing on the floor hurt my back.

I've gone from a 32F to a 34HH and it's horrific. They've only grown a cup size in the last month though so am hoping that will be it....

Fenella I hate to say it but they may get bigger again after birth! I went from D to DD during pregnancy last time, and then up again a few sizes to F when my milk came in! And then back down again...thankfully they didn't go floppy afterwards like I'd feared, just a bit less full. I have a stretch mark on one of them though Confused

MarjorySunshineDust · 21/09/2016 13:58

Hah Fenella I'm a 34J since having DD, hope they don't get any bigger this time Shock My underwired bras are starting to dig in a bit so have been wearing saggy old nursing bras instead this week, joy!

I have no idea what size I am. I went up to a dd at the beginning of breastfeeding but I think I'm around a c now. I started off as an a cup so hoping they don't deflate to nothing. I'm currently wearing these:

I was a 32E.... now unsure of my size as I'm in size 16 soft bras from H&M (despite being in size 12 clothes). I think I'm probably a 34FF or G now but reluctant to spend on new bras as I'm expecting to grow even more. Slightly scared. Shock.

Even the soft bras are feeling a bit uncomfortable now so I'm going to have to do something! Just not sure what.

I got some baby grows and bodysuits in sainsburys this morning. 25% off all clothing so worked out really cheap! I'm slowly ticking things off the list!!

I got measured in bravissimo a long time ago and was something like an H in there. I was a bit bigger, overall, because I was plump, shall we say! That was probably six years ago now, I'd say. Anyway, I went to Marksies last week to be remeasured for some new bras as my bravissimo ones were digging in thanks to the underwire. I'm now a 38DD according to the nice lady at Marks... and I have some 38DD underwired bras which fit really nicely. Hmm I've no idea what's going on there - they certainly haven't shrunk, I have cleavage and a half at the moment! But it's such a huge difference in cup size from what bravissimo told me I apparently was (in their shop!) all that time ago.

Report
kikisdelivery · 21/09/2016 14:43

Oh!! And congrats Cinderella! And I meant non-wired new bras now... not underwired. Gah, brain.

DottyA · 21/09/2016 14:47

Kikis I think Marks use a different measuring system - they add 4 inches to your band size (so if you measure as 34, they'd put you in 38) and give you a smaller cup to compensate.

I have to say I'm a Bravissimo fan - I only had bras that actually fitted properly once I went there.

Ahhh that makes sense Dotty. It slightly freaked me out because I was like, "shit, my boobs have shrunk significantly!!". I think Marks only go up to .... G? H maybe? So I guess that's why at the time Bravissimo was more accurate for me.

I do agree, their bras are lovely, but a bit pricy, so I've gone for good old faithful M&S this time!

Report
MarjorySunshineDust · 21/09/2016 16:34

I'm going to recommend measuring via boob or bust website again, m&s were way off for me as they use the old measuring method as Dotty says. They would put me in a 38 and that would be way too big!
