May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

I'm due 30th April, but feel like I'm pretty much May as I'm quite far behind others in the April thread . DC#2 for me too.

Have they said what your EDD is?

Hi there, just got my bfp today. Pretty faint as not even due on until Thursday so fingers crossed it sticks. This will be dc#3 and although planned (and I know I'm lucky) am still absolutely bricking it. I think everyone in RL will think I'm insane. They might be right Grin

Got my BFP over the weekend, based on LMP EDD is 4th May. This will be DC3 for me too so I must be insane as well!

How old are yours gin? Mine are 7 and 5 so there will be quite a bit gap. 3dc were never part of the plan but then I started imagining a third and it was hard to stop. Bit daunting the thought of going right back to the beginning again though.

ginandcake · 22/08/2016 22:38

Mine are a little bit younger - 2 and almost 4 so haven't quite forgotten it all, although have only just got out nights back! Three was always part of our plan but it's not starting to sink in how difficult it might be!

Congratulations everyone Smile

Based on my LMP my due date is 8th May. But that would mean that I got a strong positive on CD12 which seems far too early...knowing my luck it will be multiples Shock

gin & mildmanneredmilitant I really want more than two but hubby says no...best see how we survive 2 first!

lovelyholiday I have been having cramps and a little spotting but I did with DD too, so I'm trying not to worry about it. Will you get early scans with it being IVF?

How is everyone feeling? Still hasn't really sunk in for me yet, told my parents last night as I want my mam to know incase anything happens, but apart from that we're keeping this one under wraps for a little while. Told family at about 5-6 weeks with DD and it felt like I was pregnant forever!

Just counting down the days till my next scan now Smile

shipper congratulations 😊 yes I'll be having early scans but I'm also guessing I may have more anyway due to being 40

Have told a couple of people (well close friends) planning on telling parents later, my official test date for the clinic is Friday but I've been testing positive since Saturday, so praying this little guy sticks around!
Does the worrying ever stop??? 🙈

No, you just find new things to worry about once they are here Sad

But it's so amazing that the worrying is all worth it for a little smile or giggle.

I'm 11 days away from when I should test but have been getting positives since last week so I have absolutely no idea what is going on Confused

No it never does lovely but the first 12 weeks are the worse.

We have told the in laws because we're about to go on holiday with them so it will be obvious when I'm not drinking. My parents are visiting this weekend so will probably tell them then, but not telling anyone else yet.

The sickness and tiredness has hit me today. Sad

Hi all, I got my BFP last Tue and am about 5 wks. We already have DS (2) and DSD (14). Am currently on a family holiday, we don't want to tell family until 12 wks if poss, but I'm in a wretched mood!! V tired & ratty!! Good luck all and hoping all beans stay put!

Dustpan · 23/08/2016 16:44

Shippersss, was it def a period on 7 Aug or could have been an early bleed? That may explain why pg text such a strong positive? Friend of mine had what she thought was a full on period with her first, only found out later her little bean was there all along!

We're not telling anyone yet because it just doesn't feel real. Plus still not even past day af due so makes sense to wait a couple of weeks if I can. Bizarrely I feel better than I usually do at this time in the month just a bit crampy which I had with both previous dc for a good few weeks. Hate the early few weeks even though I know I should be grateful I'm in this position, think its all the uncertainty.

Oooh gin enjoy your holiday! We're not having one this year as we're just in the middle of renovating the kitchen, I'm hoping it will be done in time for Christmas.

Sorry you're feeling a bit rotten, I'm not tired or sick yet which is making me worry Confused don't think I felt sick until around 9 weeks last time.

holiday bet you're loving being able to tell everyone you want. I've told my parents but not the IL's and obviously I don't plan on them knowing that my parents have known for ages but I know that if they found out they wouldn't be happy Hmm

Hi dustpan congratulations! Hope you can enjoy your hol a little bit even though you aren't feeling the best Smile

With regards to the strong test, bleed etc I actually thought exactly what you are suggesting, that August was breakthrough bleeding as it was late anyway Confused but I had a scan yesterday and the doctor said it looks like I'm around 3-4 weeks so I am totally perplexed to be honest. Will hopefully have a clearer picture of what is going on when I go back in 2 weeks. For now, I am POAS daily just to check it's still there...

militant I know exactly what you mean about hating the first 12 weeks, it's so worrying. But like you say we are all very lucky to be in this position!

Thank you, really looking forward to it, work is so busy at the moment so really need a break.

If I was doing it solo lovely I'd feel the need to tell people as well. Think I'd go crazy otherwise!

Totally know what you mean about being ratty dustpan!!

Hi all! Can I join? Just got my bfp this morning. Expecting my 2nd child. According to LMP I'm due 30th April but I'm pretty sure of when I ovulated and that gives me a due date of 7th May. Either way, beginning of May ish!

Welcome enter and han congratulations!!
han I've been having those too but I keep testing to see if my line gets darker each day, which it is doing. But also seems to be easing off now, and actually the more I move around the less it hurts, so fingers crossed it's just implanting it's self nicely 😊

Hi han, enter and teainbed congratulations to you all! Grin

han I'm the same as lovelyholiday have been having cramps but I think it has been implantation so hopefully it's sticking around.

The bloating has turned up today...bloody hell! I look like I did at around 20 weeks with DD1 Blush

enter I was you only this time last year, we had been trying for a little while and I was so nervous and happy, when it actually happened. I found out I was pregnant with DD on August bank holiday last year, so only a few weeks later than finding out this time.

lovelyholiday I've been doing exactly the same re POAS, to see it getting darker...glad it's not just me!

teainbed there is nothing faint about that positive, congratulations! I loved growing up with 3 siblings, we're 4 girls. How old are your other children and are they girls or boys?

Ooh no, just realised it'll be a second Christmas in a row that I can't have mouldy cheese or alcohol. Boooo! All worth it in the end though.
