Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Ooh, new Fred! Fanx pis that's interesting about the cloth slings clearly have not done any research at all and just looked at nice pictures - they had some in mothercare (name escapes me, think they were Australian) which were on clearance and looked really good but the divvy sales assistant tried to push a £75 baby bjorn contraption and I didn't want to commit that much if it's not going to work.
I actually find ironing mysteriously satisfying, I have been ploughing through sons of anarchy on Amazon prime while I do it and have now reached the point where I'm up to date and the last series isn't free :( and I resent paying £25 for something I know will be in a few months, so I'm going with madmen instead. It's not setting my world on fire, but I adore the pop culture and clothes!

Lovely new Fred thanks!
Just popping in to add stats, I have been lurking a bit though (hooray for free hotel wifi!)
Name- toast
Age- 29
DC- just this fig sized 11+3 weeks bean and what seems to be an alarmingly fast-growing amount of belly flab because I can't have a proper mini bump at this stage can I?
Adios for now!

I have just found a sling library near home - when would be a good time to try them out? Or just go for a nose? It's during the working day, can I legitimately say that is an ante natal appointment? Grin

Stats:
Name: Fleur
Age: geriatric according to the NHS 34
DC: none but cooking an ear of corn 24 + 1

Had midwife appointment today, bump measuring 23cm and heard heart beat. My midwife claims I am having a girl because it sounds like a galloping horse, although I am not sure I believe in all that.

GTT booked for week 28, along with another midwife appointment and whooping cough vaccination. A busy week!

Yay - I'm at the beginning of one for once! Going to try to stick around a bit more this fred.

Name: freshstart4us
Age: definitely geriatric 41
DC: 3.5 yo DD, incubating a "summer cantaloupe" DS at 30+0 due 9 June

Good job on the GTT Fleur! And yes, a sling test run is definitely a valid antenatal appt.

Just about to run for the train, will be lurking tonight!

Thanks for new Fred pis. Sorry I missed the new Fred starting requests!

Name: minimooo

DC: currently cooking DD at 36+4

I just made a complete fool of myself bursting into tears in the middle of the high street because I'd waddled all the way into town to find that I'd just missed the bank by a few minutes Blush Very embarrassing, but I was devastated!

On the sling talk, I've bought a stretchy wrap (Kari-me) and it looks awesome. I haven't tried it with an actual baby yet though, so can't really say how good it will be.

Got a text today to say that the pram will be arriving tomorrow - I'm so excited!!

Could be fleur...mine's a girl and her heartbeat sounded like a horse galloping. But then again, I don't know how much of that is coincidence...

Sorry I can't remember who said this on the last Fred Blush but a Silver Cross for £65 - snap it up if it's in good nick. I've just bought a Silver Cross Pioneer for £600 Shock

pis lovely photos! She is gorgeous Smile

Age: 25
DC: DD1 28 Months, DD2 1 week.

la we've got a Papoozle sling which is stretchy to use at first, once she's got a bit more bulk to her I'll start using the Lenny Lamb ring sling we've got. I'm looking at a less stretchy wrap sling to use if she gets too big for the ring sling but I'm going to go to our sling library before committing to anything unless I win one of the many things that I keep dipping on in Facebook sling groups

Viroids I'm the worst wife ever, hubby has been off sick all week with what docs said is a bacterial infection (he's got the shits) and I am missing the part of me that does sympathy. This isn't a new thing, I've always been rubbish at it. And not just with him, with everyone. I think because I am very lucky that I never get sick (have taken 1 sick day in 12 years of full time working and that was food poisoning) so I think I just don't understand what it feels like. And therefore I think everyone is being pathetic. A girl at work called an ambulance the other day because she had a fever. Everyone at work was so worried and I was just thinking I would only call am ambulance if I suddenly found myself missing a body part or something of similar seriousness. So anyway hubby is feeling very sorry for himself and I just find myself getting cross with him. Help me please be a nice wife, I know I'm being a bitch but can't stop it! I am being nice to his face but he can probably tell I'm just saying what I think he wants me to say. He genuinely is poorly so it's not even like I think he is dramatising, I just can't do sympathy! What's wrong with me!?

bat I also am completely devoid of sympathy if it helps? My parents only ever let me have time off school if I was physically vomiting, and I think I pretty much only had a handful of days off across my entire schooling age, I get really pissed off with DH whenever he takes a sick day, he's a wilting flower and takes days off at the drop of a hat, so it's difficult to separate when he's generally ill from when he's just throwing a wobbly, especially as in both situations he's in my way in the living room playing on the computer as a general rule. I generally make up for my lack of sympathy by keeping him topped up with whatever food and drink he's capable of eating, but he knew I lacked the sympathy gene when he married me, I take the fact that he didn't run a mile as a general acceptance of my unsympathetic ways!

Hi I'm here and marking my place:
Name: Pixie
Age 29
DC: 1 DD aged 10.5 months and one DS on the way- 28 weeks tomorrow!
Location: Cheshire

Ive got a midwife appointment tomorrow, having all sorts done! Whooping cough and blood tests all before Jeremy Kyle comes on!Confused
I'll make sure I only give a small wee sample instead of my usual Jug.
Talking about prams I need to sell my Stokke xplory v4- has all the attachments and carry cot and car seat (which fixes on to the pram base too!) it cost us 1300 altogether and I have no idea how much we should charge for it! We've had it exactly 11 months and Ive still got all the manuals too.

boo glad it's not just me, I've been quite lovely this evening though and have made him some pasta and a cup of tea (haven't told him the milk smells like it's on it's way out - boiling water will kill bacteria surely) and am just sorting my way through his giant stash of pills to see which he needs to take after food! I have to try quite hard because even when I think I've been Florence Nightingale herself I later get told that I was rubbish. Not entirely sure what to do.

gaggia I always return to the original piccalilli, bloody love it. Last night whilst waiting for cheese toastie to cook I found myself just smothering lumps of cheese in it. I also love salad cream and I think I'm the only person in the world who does, it goes best with pizza. My weirdest one is probably frozen peas. Still frozen. And this way predates pregnancy! A couple of times I have had hard boiled eggs and a bowl of frozen peas for my dinner - same as a veggie omelette surely?! Hubby thinks v odd.

lemon yep scan tomorrow! Although due to hubby's shitting problem I'm a bit worried he won't make it - he has been to the loo about 4 times in the last hour so I'm not sure how he will even get there without pooing his pants! I would be gutted for him to miss it as he is so excited for it but at the same time I really don't want to cancel as my doc gets so booked up and I'm desperate to know things are OK.

bat I don't think it's uncommon! (at least I hope not!) dh and I are both like that with each other as well. I like to think it's not that I don't care, but if I felt bad for every sick person I see I would be emotionally overloaded - it's like your self preservation system kicking in. Oh and your colleague who called an ambulance for a fever - seriously the sort of person we dislike in A&E. That woman just cost the NHS £250 alone for the call out of the ambulance, never mind the cost of being seen in A&E. When really she should have just taken some paracetamol.

Oh viroids - now I don't know what to do. I mentioned the pram issue to a friend at work, and she has offered me her whole britax travel system (I know we're not supposed to use a second hand car seat, but I know her really well and trust her and know it's not been in any accidents) for £100. I like this option, but still feel I shouldn't turn down a silver cross. hmm. Looking at the britax online it does look like the sort of easy use machine I am after ... but silver cross ...
