If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

Cheese toasties not roasties. And pickled ice cream not picked ice cream. In any case pickled ice cream doesn't exist. I meant ice cream with pickles. let it go already

Place marking.

Haha loved the piçkled ice cream idea. I never had any cravings with DS1, people would keep asking if I had them then shuffle off looking disappointed. I'm just waffling on to place mark Grin

Hello, ahh think this is one of my favourite threads -just to chat to other women in the same position and same time of pregnancy. DH has been a great support but he can never fully grasp the meaning of the phrase "I'm exhausted" Smile
I'm due 3/11 with baby #1 - waiting for my booking in appointment, 9weeks and still no call from midwife...is this normal?

Thanks for the new thread focus! Re. Heartburn- its mega common in pregnancy unfortunately, but you can get gaviscon on prescription (and therefore free!) which helped me loads last time. I got through a 1l bottle each week towards the end! If you do buy it instead though just double check it's the original as the pink fast action one isn't suitable for pregnant women.

Any cravings yet ladies? I'm back on a diet of dry crackers, new potatoes and ALL OF THE ICELOLLIES just like last time as I feel sick unless I'm constantly grazing but there is nothing that I actually want to eat. I found a box of Fabs lurking in the freezer from last time and I'm on my third of the day Blush

I think it depends where you are and how busy your hospital is Sophia with DS1 my booking in was at 12 weeks and I'd notified them at around 4 weeks - busy North London hospital.
Now I'm out of London at a quieter hospital (midwife said how busy their postnatal ward is with 12 beds! Ha!) I got seen at 8 weeks for booking in. I did self refer though and didn't bother with the GP

Marking place. 5+5 today by my calculations, 6+3 by lmp.

Not really feeling much of anything other than tired but trying not to worry. Having a lot of stress at work and just want to crawl under my desk and hide.

Sophia it depends on where you live I think, I have a pre booking in at 7 weeks! To get you in the system I suppose, you can always ring to check you are 9 weeks so it's not like your pestering them at 5 weeks lol Smile

Feel sick at the moment, tired from not sleeping with that howling wind. And I'm trying to not get exited until 12 weeks as I was disappointed after last months miscarriage. It's hard not to be exited tho isn't it! My mum said tho when she had us they didn't even do a pregnancy test till you had missed two periods! It's just so common before 12 weeks mine was at 7 so my goal is to get to 8 weeks and hope I might get a scan. This first bit really is awful isn't it Hmm

That duck- he sounds like my husband!! I don't even bother to try anymore with getting him to read stuff- give him an article on cycling or caravaning oh yes he's well away! So when he trys to make me read the said cycling article I'm like- boring!

Hi All,

Just marking place on the new thread. Still feeling awful today - are colds 10 x worse when pregnant because of your lowered immune system? I feel completely wiped out like I have flu and have had to take another day off work. Nausea seems to have died down a bit but I think that's because I feel so ill. Grumble, grumble ....

BleachedBarnet · 31/03/2015 12:56

woweee I completely missed about 25 pages of thread, and I see you've all moved onto the next one! Never mind Grin

Finally got my booking in appointment - April 14th - and desperately trying NOT to think about having a blood test as I'm incredibly squeamish and a bit of a fainter!

Still not really experiencing too many symptoms, but was sick as a dog all day on Sunday, so there's been some nausea/sickness now and that was certainly not fun!

Hi to everyone I've not met yet! It's so hard to keep up but I shall try harder. 7+4 today Shock it's zooming by!

I'm 8 weeks today - on a 4 week countdown to be gone of this horrible sickness! Got my booking appointment for next Wednesday but still not got my scan date yet, I hope it's not later than 12 weeks I've waited so long already!
Quick question, how do you know I you're officially dehydrated? I really can't stomach fluids, I sip my way through 1-2 cups of water a day ATM and I have a horrible taste in my mouth constantly and TMI but my wee is really dark and strong smelling? Cause for concern do we think?

Just place marking. Felt so sick yest eve. Have slept for 10hrs off and on and now wondering how best to keep the nausea at bay today. Bizarrely I don't feel sick in the mornings when I wake. I do start to once I start eating, but the longer I leave it before starting to eat, the sicker I feel Confused anyone got any magic solutions? Anyone in the same boat?

bluebananas crunching on ice really helped me, if I drank too much I would bring it right back up again but I constantly felt thirsty. If you have a blender you can whizz some ice to make an unflavored slush, or if you feel up to it add a bit of dilute pop for flavour.
