20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

LaLa5 · 17/01/2015 17:47

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Good work La. Was going to attempt but MrWil has the ipad. Are you the one in your group of friends who gets left to do all the organising when noone else bothers?! Can't link on my phone but the mumming thread is in 'being a parent' then 'post-natal clubs'.

Hope you're ok zyla.

ooo, that was a close one! Thanks for new fred la

No you're not a fanny la. I think people just have different views of announcing on fb. I wasn't comfortable with it until past the 20w scan, but I have some friends who have announced on fb at 12w (and some as soon as they got a bfp!) and some that haven't ever announced on fb. Everyone's different Smile

Thanks for all the kind wishes. Me and dh are speaking a bit now. It'll blow over, it's just one of those silly arguments over nothing important. I've put down the F&N bar, but have just made a batch of cinnamon crunch muffins to devour instead Blush

Ooh it's nearly time for The Voice, who watches? I'll have to stealthily turn Peppa Pig off first though. Am sure she can be bribed with cake.

Zyla fx your baby stays put :) if you need to chat I know how scary prem birth can be

I'm on sofa absolutely wiped out and considering going to bed. It's ten to eight on a Saturday. What the heck has happened to me? Today I have hoovered the whole house, took clothes to charity shop, did a horse rehoming visit (I volunteer), made tomato soup, went through bounty pack and Emma's diary to separate 'useful' from 'crap' and messed about on MN. Productive but hardly taxing...

Zyla I hope you're resting and being looked after. Thinking of you x

Ooh that was close!

la you're only a fanny for thinking your a fanny. She probably said that as a way to tell ppl she didn't want it branded around everywhere yet, not as a dig at fb announcers in general, and definitely not as a dig at you. I still can't decide on whether we will announce on fb if we get that far but I think it will depend if dh will let me put with it that we had to do ivf/spend a long time ttc.

purple I honestly can't believe you are considering telling your sister about your pg so she can get her 12yo ds to clean the litter trays so your dh doesn't have to. What's he going to do when he's knee deep in your baby's puke and shit if he can't clean out a litter tray!! Confused

Evening lovelies. Hope you all had a good day
I mooches round mothercare and babiesrus legitimately for the first time ever Smile
Chose a nice pram/travel system and a few bits. Took pics on my phone as we won't be buying anything for months!

Spoke to my sister, told her I can't do the litter tray and she paused for a second til she realised why...it was quite funny. Anyway she's delighted and the cats barely use the tray now so she's going to try wean them off it before we go

Parents have invited us round for lunch tomorrow. I won't be able to hold it in and as I've told my sister I have to tell them too really

willywallace · 17/01/2015 20:05

Haha not quite sure I've been knee deep in puke and shit but that's a brilliant image Lil Grin .

What's Emma's Diary La?

Report
Purplecircle · 17/01/2015 20:06

Lil if it were our cat then he'd be doing it no question. But it's not, it's someone else's 3 cats and he doesn't have to do it. He's never had cats and doesn't know about them. He'd do it if there were no other option but it's not fair of me to make him
he doesn't know he's doing the dog shit in the garden yet but I ain't

LaLa5 · 17/01/2015 20:18

Ahh it sounds like you've had a nice day purple! Which buggy did you choose? We've not chosen yet.

I can handle shit but puke is going to take some getting used to...can I not just keep mine on milk it's whole life so there'll be no bits of carrot or potato to deal with?

I didn't think she was digging at me lil, I just wondered whether people would think I was daft. My anxiety kicking in!

Wil Emma's diary is in the midwife pack I think. It's just another pregnancy book but written as this Emma persons diary. I've not read it but there are Argos vouchers and stuff inside. I've pulled out all my vouchers and I'm off to town tomorrow! Got £200 Argos to claim, a bounty pack from boots and I'm sticking in my boots baby club application coz I want the free change bag. I love a freebie I do!

Argh! It was full when I logged in - panic!

Don't feel bad la, there is no right or wrong way to tell people and sure your friend wasn't having a dig. I didn't do it and not planning an announcement but doesn't mean my way is better, neither is yours. It's personal. Just do what feels right for you!

Glad the tray thing is sorted purple, and now you can talk to sister about it all too!

I watch The Voice wil, might have missed a bit with a micro sleep but it's on. Will.I.Am never turns!

Cinnamon crunch muffin - send one over this way mini!

DH build our walk in wardrobe that's been laying around for probably over a year whilst I was a way. What a sweety. Had a conversation about furniture and stuff while we we're up there - was very exciting! We think furniture wise for baby we only need a cot. But haven't investigated anything. Just decided where in the room it will go!

Report
lildottie · 17/01/2015 20:25

la I challenge your anxiety - does it actually matter if someone thinks you're daft? sorry this is what I do to dh when he's feeling anxious/having confidence issues, I'm like walking talking CBT!

dulcet how sweet of him. we need to buy a new house before we think about what furniture we need!

La I plan to announce on Facebook in the same way
One of my friends wrote in sand on a beach and took a pic. I quite liked that idea.

I liked the Silver Cross Wayfarer in red, it comes with a carry cot. The car seat is extra and we will need 2 car seat bases

I may change my mind when we get to buy one but it's nice and sturdy and I didn't fancy 3 wheels or those ones with piddly front wheels. I had a wee push in the shop too and it's comfy

I have been for lunch and mocktails with DH and devoured a boxed set. It's time to retire my leather leggings already! We had a mooch round john Lewis which was nice but tbh a lot of this doesn't feel that new as my Sister has a 2 year old so I'm quite up on the paraphernalia. I wouldn't be surprised if we inherited some of their stuff, she's always storing stuff at our house.

I'm really struggling not telling DSis. If I don't see her then fine but I'm seeing her tomorrow. DH would rather wait a week.

The other complication is that my Dad lives here part time - oh yes - who smokes. Mostly outside but occasionally inside and I'll be sat with him so obviously I will be well out of the way...but until he knows, he won't know to be careful.

Constipation and wind are a joy. Am a bit crampy and hoping that's normal

Report
Stoatystoat · 17/01/2015 20:34

I also plan to announce on FB...I am an avid user and it would be weird not to.

Report
LaLa5 · 17/01/2015 20:41

Crampy is normal - as long as no pain or blood accompanying them then nothing to worry about :)

My cats are freaking me out staring at the door of the bedroom as if something's there.

I like the silvercross surf 2 but it's sooo expensive my dh told me forget it!
