Oh I don't know?! "Feel it" seems kind of appropriate?!! Wink

For those getting headaches, you definitely need to increase your fluid intake. I was getting terrible headaches until I realised I was drinking enough.

Now if I could just shove a rocket up my backside to help the constipation ............. Confused

Last working day of the week for me Grin no plans for NYE, having dinner with OH mum on Thursday (not seen her since she found out she's going to be a gran Smile) and then scan and bloods Friday - feel sick!

overtired The French chemist gave me some movicol to helpwith the constipation and it does the trick. Takes a few days but Smile again

Morning ladies. Thanks for the new thread.

Any tips for dehydration? My pee is almost brown because nothing that goes in my mouth is reaching my stomach at the mo (not complaining, even though I feel frickin awful!!!)

Broody sucking ice cubes!! That was me a couple of weeks ago.

At one point I had to make myself throw up so I could get an anti-sickness pill down, lucky for me once I got them to stay down the constant throwing up stopped. I am back to just plain nausea now (and have stopped the tablets)

I literally cannot stop eating bad stuff, I am eating a mcdonalds breakfast now, I feel like I need meaty, salty food all the time which is really bad! I feel like I have put about a stone on already!

Good look for scans today Sherbert, Nature and Headless

It's my scan date today! So excited but so bloody nervous!

Work have thrown a spanner in the works though, my line manager and manager have gone off sick today and I'm the only other person who can do anything financial in the branch, they know today is scan day but the other staff here don't and are asking me if I can cancel my appointment and stay at work.

I've pretty much told them that I'm going to my appointment regardless but the hospital is only round the corner so if I get done in time, I will come back. I've had a few snotty remarks, do you think I should just tell them the reason why I can't/won't cancel my appointment?

p.s defo think I am having a girl!

Will anyone be asking about the sex of their baby at their 12 weeks scan?

I know they always say they can't tell but this isn't actually true!
They can tell at 12 weeks (I found with both of my DC's at this stage) and they were both correct. They did say however that it depends on the equipment being up to date and the development of the baby.

I was happy to pay for a 16 week scan but OH is insisting he wants to ask at the 12 week scan in two weeks (when I will be 12+5 according to my last scan and 13+5 according to my dates)

Good luck to people scanning today. Had my scan on Christmas eve and everything looks fine (including low NT measurement). Phew. Wasn't expecting the bean to be quite so wriggly though, it was kicking and waving throughout.
Told family over Christmas (iced a cake with the announcement in the end) and friends will know soon. Think everyone is happy - my dad said he 'knew' already! Observant :-)
Anyway, very relieved as have been completely symptom free through the whole thing - not complaining you understand, but it is concerning. Can't wait for everyone to have had their 12 week scans as I am busy worrying about the rest of you now.

Oh, and I got put forward a week, so EDD is now 1st of July - just about still in the group.

13+6 (I think! Had to reset my mental counter)

Overtired tried Fybogel, it worked for me

Envious of scans today, mines not for another week and a half! I'll be 13 weeks

I don't want to know the sex of my baby, I want a surprise. As long as it's healthy I'm happy

Littledragon13 hahaha!! mine is footy mad, he thinks the baby will be footy mad also. I have a DS (not my new partners child) and he hates footy. My DD loves it, so I think actually he may be better off with a girl!!

Wild ahh that's lovely!! I hope to see my kidney bean waving and moving about. Great idea with the cake!

Leela I wish I had your patience, I didn't want to find out with DC1 but the sonographer was so happy she could tell what it was I felt bad not letting her tell me!!

Agreed, as long as baby is healthy that's the main thing.

With 2 already, I need to be very effective with my budget, I also have a friend who is due with a boy in two weeks time, and a friend who is due with a girl in May, so I will be asking either one of those for hand me downs!!!

We won't be finding out sex at any stage - I want that lovely surprise of dh telling me when he/she/they are delivered. He loved it with dd, think he wanted labour to finish just so he could tell me what all the effort had been forWink He'd have cut the cord as well, if it hadn't have been round dd's neck. He told me he'd been hoping for a little girl a while after she'd been born, same as me really, so it was even lovelier. This time, I'm not bothered at all - we have tons of clothes dd hardly wore, so it'd be good to have more use out of themGrin but a boy would be different so also fab.

number3 I think he would be lovely with a girl, I am a daddy's girl so would love him to have that bond. I was also a complete tomboy, I cut all my hair off once so I could look like a boy, much to my mothers annoyance!

We would both be happy with a boy or a girl, as long as they are healthy and happy Smile

Littledragon13 I was brought up by my Dad, I love football and I was defo a tomboy (probably still am a bit, especially in the house!)

I think he would love a girl so much he wouldn't want her to leave the house haha!!

broodylicious ahh that is so lovely! Unfortunately it looks very likely I will be having my C-section under a general anaesthetic, so we will all be missing this birth. OH will have to wait outside and I don't like the thought of someone I don't even know telling him the sex of the baby and I am impatient

My kids are 11 + 7 so don't have any of their old stuff now - I was tempted to say to OH that we are not going to find out when he started going on about wanting a boy, but it's his first DC so I am letting him lead the way on this one Smile
