(3 Posts)At 21+3 a scan found my cervix had shortened to 11mm and funnelling. I had an emergency cervical cerclage the next day, put on daily progesterone suppositories and put on bed rest (with toilet privileges) for the rest of pregnancy. I'm now at 23+3 and getting more hopeful by the day. But it's a long road ahead, and I would love some company.
I know of at least one other Mommy to be from my February due date thread, and I hope some other Mommies can join us here. Perhaps we can all keep each other company, share ideas, and just help keep each other sane, however long we're on bed-rest to keep our little beans safe.
Hi Viper, only me . Hope you had a good day. I had a bit of a downer yesterday but today is a new day. I guess seeing the sunshine, getting a moonlight card and a box of cupcakes helped
Sending you and your little bump lots of good wishes, Viperama. It's such a tough time so look after yourself and keep busy with nice things like reading, podcasts, puzzles, Netflicks and crafty things. I was on bedrest last year from weeks 25-37 for very similar reasons (although I was too late for a stitch) and I found it hard, mentally and physically, but so worth it as my beautiful DS was born at 37 weeks and was well and healthy and came straight home with me. I made myself a motivational calendar to tick the days off and used to remind myself that each day my baby was getting bigger and stronger. Take care and if you've any questions then please do ask. Hugs to you and baby x
