Had a miscarriage and due in April 2015? shall we try not to scare the other ones?

Hello

Having had 5 mcs and 1 DD I am not feeling very hopeful (juest realistic) even though I am doing different things than before...

4w today and on cyclogest pessaries since CD21...

Maybe we could have a separate thread to the biiiig one so we don't scare the others with our (my) negativity...

Welcome

TinyTear, 40, 1 DD, 5mcs, due in April but don't want to know the exact day...

Hi, I'm 30, this is dc5 for us and is due on April 5th (rough guess!). I have had 11 miscarriages and also lost ds1s twin early on. I haven't had a mc in over eight years but I still panic!

Sorry to hear of all your problems. I went to the gp last Friday and ended up being admitted to hospital :( all appears well at the moment but I have a scan on Tuesday to make doubly sure.

Hi dances.

Wow brave woman. 11mcs... Not sure I could cope with so many... This is my last attempt in fact. Don't think I can cope with more...

Hello!!

I had a miscarriage 4 years ago and have failed to fall pregnant since, we had our first IVF cycle and so far so good, although I am obsessing daily about symptoms and pains. I've had some funny old ovary pain but my sensible head tells me its because of all the stimulation and the fact that I have pcos. My irrartional head says theres nothing there and your body is fooling you!!

I to am on cyclogest ( thats a joy twice a day isn't it ;-) )

I fear I at the mo I am a little to negative on the main thread, I just can't seem to let myself get excited, its a long way to fall if it doesnt stay stuck. Maybe I'll be reassured at my first scan on the 19th, I'll be 7+4 then.

Hello dances hope you are feeling ok and not to pooped x

I think a little extra handholding might just be what we need!

Hi Lila. Yes that is why I his the main thread. Don't want to bring everyone down and dont want to get angry/sad because I don't have the innocence to believe a BFP means a baby...

Even my midwife told me I was the most determined woman she'd ever met about wanting to become a mum. I had given up eight and a half years ago. I even went to adoption agencies and looked into fostering. We had Dd1, but I thought that was going to be it! Little did we know!

Now I also have a few health issues. Chronic kidney disease and high blood pressure (very high... when I was admitted last week it was 180/140), they've got me on beta blockers now to keep it down. We saw the go before trying to conceive this time. He said it wouldn't' be a problem, but now we are here it feels more daunting.

Hey, I'm a bit of a fraud compared to you ladies; we've only been trying since the beginning of the year, got a BFP in March but had a mmc at 9 weeks (baby stopped growing at 6+5), erpc in April and started trying again in June.

I'm hopeful this time, but I found the antenatal threads useful last time to see what others are going through. It's only been 4 months since last time, and I just can't remember.

I hope I don't come across as too negative on the main thread Blush

Don't consider yourselft a fraud, i hope this will be a welcoming place for anyone who experienced a loss and doesn't want to start thinking about prams at 5 weeks...

in my one successful pregnancy I didn't buy anything until the 20w scan and worried i had jinxed it all when i bough maternity jeans at 15w...

and welcome!

i remember when i was pregnant with dd1 my mum bought a bib when i was 12 weeks. i hit the roof! i thought i'd definitely lose the baby because of her thoughtlessness! the baby i'd lost before we had bought blankets and baby gros and i was devastated when my mum gave them away Sad

Glad to know i am not the only one thinking like that...

event a t the 20w scan all i bought were some socks... took a few more weeks before i braved getting more stuff, and then had a rush at the end and dragged a baby bath from toys r us on the bus and tube when heavily pregnant

I have warned the very few people that know that they can't buy anything till we are near the end...at the moment I'm not being to optimistic.

On a positive, dp has just made himself some scrambled eggs on toast and I can't say its sitting very well with me at the mo, feeling a little queasy...eeegghhhhh!!

I'm officially 6 weeks today...I really hope theres something in there.....

Only 4+1 here, soooo early...

but as i have to have blood checked for thyroid i need to go to the GP asap when I get a BFP

will get scanned just before 6w to start clexane if all in the right place

what does the clexane do if you don't mind me asking?

I have to take the cyclogest till 12 weeks, but they have only been giving it to me in batches of 3 weeks, so i guess initially it was to be sure you had a bfp without having a ton of meds to return, i am expecting another prescription at the scan.

I don't feel I can say I am actually pregnant yet, its so early, and so much to go wrong. Until I see that first scan and they confirm theres definitely something there, maybe then I might get a little excited, or maybe the worry just increases, who knows?

i think it helps the placenta develop apparently... some people take it for clotting issues (which I was tested in st mary's and it was normal) but in coventry they say it may help with the placenta

Can I join too? I had an early miscarriage after my first IVF and a failed 2nd IVF. This is a surprise natural conception while on the waiting list for a polypectomy so I'm hoping the polyp doesn't interfere.

I've booked a private scan at 8 weeks on 6 Sept. I found out at 8dpo, it's been a long week! Still doing cheapie tests every day.

Hello! can I join you too? Got a bfp on Thursday after 9 months of ttc. already have a dd but before her I had 2 mcs (Although 1 was a chemical at 4+1.) Currently due mid - April but don't want to look incase it all goes wrong.

So far I am self medicating with baby aspirin and progesterone cream as that worked with dd. Planning on trying to hold out till 8 weeks for a private scan. (with dd I had one on the nhs and another 2 private scans before 12 weeks just as I kept panicking it had all gone wrong again.) for now I am just peeing on sticks to see if the lines gets darker. Luckily water tastes horrible and I feel sick if I haven't eaten for a bit so got a few symptoms to keep me going.

Hi LIG, I'm also self-medicating with aspirin. I have a couple of weeks worth of progesterone pessaries but I've decided not to take them in case it hides a MMC.

Hello all,

well today I am still pg Grin Grin Grin Grin and now 2-3 on the digital test.

lady I think for my progesterone helped as I discovered after my 1st mc that I had a very short luteal phase. when I had the chemical I read that could be down to low progesterone and so took it and it lengthened my luteal phase to 11 days. now just got to not forget to take it. my 1st mc was a mmc and it was horrible not knowing that I had already lost it about 4 weeks before a dating scan at almost 10 weeks.

tiny - yes let's hope it works out for us this time. It seems like such a long road ahead at the moment.

How are you girls feeling today, I'm feeling cautiously optimistic today but I think that's because my symptoms have been really obvious, this will no doubt smack me in the face tomorrow and I'll be doubting everything again but today I feel pregnant and that's a good place to start xx
