looking fingers crossed this time there is a happy 12 week scan :) I have to say there is no sunshine here and I am feeling rough, so I'm curled up in bed while Dh and Ds have man time!! I can hear Ds laughing away... So cute! I would update it but I'm on my phone I'm afraid and although I can usually update these kinds of things, I can't seem to with this one for some reason :( sorry.

Hi guys, sorry haven't posted in ages.
I've been soooo tired recently. I'm still in my pjs, the house is a tip, but I don't have the energy to do any housework :(
My DH works really long hours so doesn't have time to help out as much as he would like (12 hours + a day, 5 or 6 days a week)
I'm just fed up of the mess!
On a brighter note I have my first scan on the 19th June, seems ages away, can't wait! My nausia has gotten a lot better, it feels more like a bad hangover and I've still not actually been sick.
Hope things are going well with you all, looking forward to hearing all your scans!

Ladies there is now a February 2015 thread (even though I know my EDD is in dec) for some weird reason this makes me feel much more pregnant! I have also missed my second period this weekend which feels like a little milestone too :)

meds are kicking in and I haven't been sick all day today, I've had breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks so far :) How is everyone else coping with their ms? I can thoroughly recommend tuc biscuits and weak squash for those suffering. Not pizza, which I had last night and threw it all up, stupid pregnancy has ruined my favourite treat now!

Wow! Thread 3!
12 week scans booked already?! Apparently I get a letter through and call to book when I get that... I'm very impatient! Grin

I saw that feb thread too...we are no longer the newbies.

ms for me fairly rubbish. Feel nauseated constantly but only actually sik once or twice. How bad does it have to be to get meds? Not getting a lot of sympathy from oh - git!

Thanks for new thread dec

Right - half 5 and I'm actually going to do some clearing up today...maybe.

starbright I just rang my gp, didn't even have to go in for an appointment. If you're feeling really bad then I'd call them and ask for advice. I thought mine was just 'normal' but when I described it to the doctor she said it definitely wasn't and I'd lost about 5 pounds which she said was a bad sign. It won't do any harm just asking!

It's weird that I'm 3 weeks behind some of you (EDD 22nd jan). And if DS is anything to go by (11 days late) chances of this one being born in January are slim. Then I'll have two February babies Smile

Thx saras I have mid wife app on weds at same surgery so will ask when I go in there. I'm still managing to eat (never had that problem) just a bit of a wuss I think :) and don't like feeling ill all the time. I know I'm not the only one here like it.

Thanks for the new thread, dec13mummy. We are definitely a chatty bunch Smile

Feeling rough today. DW has been a star - she is picking up a lot of the slack in the house, and sending me off for sleeps when I get really sleepy (which is pretty much all the time today).

We had some good friends over for tea this afternoon, told them our news - they were SO excited. Lots of squealing and hugs, the best reaction you can hope for. They have a nearly 20-month old son who was being adorable toddling round our garden (feeding our chickens A LOT) and generally making the whole parenthood thing look like a good idea. Yay.

I got my 12 week scan appointment through yesterday and it is going to be very difficult for me to attend without telling work why I need to be away and even then I'm not sure I will be able to get the time off to go. I've got an exceptionally busy work schedule over the next few weeks. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see if I can change it - does anyone know how flexible they are likely to be with this?

Report
sunshineandbiscuits · 25/05/2014 19:16

I think they should be pretty flexible foxtrot. We haven't got our 12 week scan yet, but I phoned to change our 7 week (NHS) scan because DW couldn't come to the first date they gave us. They said that the system had automatically given us the first available slot, so when I phoned they were able to switch it to one a couple of days later with no trouble. Having said that, our GP did say that the 12 wk scans fill up fast, so maybe phone as soon as you can.

Wow! I cant keep up with all the threads! Thanks for organising it. I think I have same due date as you looby. I have an appoint on tues to confirm preg with midwife, but nausea has been terrible since friday so keep telling myself its a good sign. No vomitting but feel I will be size of a house soon as food is only thing which makes it feel better i have also been having pm naps which are sooo good.

lindamagoo · 25/05/2014 19:32

sunshine could you maybe get DW to have a chat with my OH? He moans if I try to go for a nap, I live in hope that one day he just says "stay in bed all day today darling" hmmmmmmm can't see that happening anytime soon though, lol

foxtrot we have a different system here I just had to call the hospital a week after booking in to book the scan. They had a lot of available appointments, managed to get one at 8am on the day I turn 12 weeks. I was pretty shocked they were so flexible as DH was worried as he just started a new job so can't take time off. They must have people need to change all the time as most people wouldn't tell work before 12 weeks, so if I were you I'd ring and ask, fingers crossed you can get a more convenient time.

Marking place, got my early scan on Saturday and then am off on my hols so I'm really hoping for some good news so I can relax & enjoy some sunshine!
I've had one nauseous day but apart from that no symptoms to speak of and I'm now 7+4. Hoping that doesn't mean there's a problem, didn't have many symptoms last time either and all was well. For some reason I feel more anxious about mc this time around, I guess I just think I was so lucky last time that some day my luck will run out!
Was someone on the previous thread saying they thought they could feel their uterus already? If so please tell where I should be prodding! Although I've got a fair bit of ahem padding around my middle so maybe it will be well hidden!
