Hi mmmchocolate - I can't say what it is you are feeling - although I have had the same thing, I am on iron tablets, and put it down to them, as my stomach has been doing some really bizzare things since I've been on them.

I'm also getting lots of pains which sometimes feel like period pains (mum puts them down to 'growing pains' and some like upset stomach. Might be worth speaking to MW next time you go?

mmmmchocolate · 22/08/2006 21:51

thank you, i only ever get it a bed time. i'm not on iron tablets, feels like stomach cramps...????? will check out with midwife monday week. thanks again.

Thanks everyone for your welcome. I am 30+1 today and met up with a friend who is 16 weeks today - was jealous of her little bump mind you, everyone says that I am quite small for dates this time around - it must have all gone to my bum I think

Hi ladies I found the thread.mmmchocolate I know this is going to sound strange but do you actualy have the runs or just the symptoms? It could be something as simple as trapped wind! I was getting awful stomach vramps for about 3 days and felt realy rough. Woke up one morning and before I could get up I realy erm how caN i put this....let rip and boy did I feel better after!! Hope this is of help.
Oh the party went realy well and my ds got loads of money for his bday. In fact I might ask him for a loan...

NNNM: thanks for stsrting a new thread! Certainly looks a lot more manageable now. Hope you enjoy your rest.

Whiffy: I hope you're not at work again today. If so, GO HOME!

I'm getting really irritable at the moment - probably lack of sleep combined with Hormones. Spent yesterday in suppressed RAGE at everyone in the office and then went home and grumped at DH. Hoepfully things will be calmber today, but I could really do without my colleagues wittering on about trivial stuff and complaining the whole time (you think YOU'VE got problems?)

just looked at the thread too. poor kat, huge shock to have to have an emergency c section so early. 2lbs is great though for that age. my friend had hers at 28 weeks a year ago and he is the healthiest 1 year old i know. are you guys all wondering a bit if your babies are blue/pink ? we should have a stats thread for when the babies are born.
on a completely different note, i now have several stretch marks that have appeared overnight including one in the shape of an x that the midwife thought was v funny. actually i'm quite attached to it too, it's right over the baby's heart as in x marks the spot.
whiffy i agree with the others, if you are at work stop right now, esp as nowanearly says, you're not even being paid. come and get some osteopathic treatment instead.
gingeme from all reports your child sounds angelic-not something you generally hear in connection with toddlers!
dogsmum-aggh! i already listen to the archers as well. i'm done for. i expect the baby's fav tune when it enters this world will be the archers theme tune. big saddo in w10 here.
better go and get dressed, have a day off and have been lounging around in deeply scummy pjs after broken nights sleep with obligatory dawn raid on cereal. my brother is about to arrive and could be stunned by my remarkably manky appearance

Swizzler · 23/08/2006 11:40

Mathahm: enjoy your day off . I also listen to the Archers occasionally and am a big fan of Woman's Hour - no hope for me.

Glad to hear Kat and her baby are both well, although a bit scary to have an Oct baby so soon.

I hope the silence from Whiffy means that she is AT HOME and IN BED.

Oh wow poor Kat. Just posted on her thread. Thanks marthahm. Wouldnt call my dh angelic exactly he certanly has his moments but hes a pretty laid back kinda guy. Think he gets that from his Dad. I also think the water birth helped. He didnt actualy cry when he was born until he had his vit k injection. He had great fun running in and out with all the bigger boys yesterday at my ds birthday party. Then my nephews came(they are 17 and 18 and about 7 foot tall!) and they both whoosh him around like Superman which he thinks is brill.
Bumps certainly moving lots today. Ive just finn mopping through the flat and bent to pick a popped ballon up and he gave me a swift kick in the ribs. OUCH! Anyway Im off out with ds to help him spend his birthday money. Wish all you ladies well. xxx

can't believe Kat has had her baby already. What a shock! Thank god it sounds like they are doing well though.

Glad your son's party was good Gingeme

I'm so fed up with working. Can't remember who said the same on last thread, but I am also training person to do my job while I am away. She is very nice but feels weird to be passing everything over and it is tiring having someone with you all the time. We had to drive to Bristol and back last week (7.30am start-home 8.30pm) and it is such a long time to talk to someone you don't know! Oh well she is out with someone else today so I can take it easy, and as I am part time only got 13.5 days left til I finish!!!

Last night after watching Lost (for my weekly fix of Sawyer!) I ended up watching a programme about a woman recording the last few months of her life. It was very moving but all day I cannot stop thinking about death and how you have to live your life to the full etc. Very brave to document your last weeks of life for all to see.
Anyway on that cheery note I am off to get some lunch.

Just posted on Kat's thread too. No more pregnancy symptoms for Kat then! It's encouraging for all of us that we're now at the stage where our babies are viable. Keep counting those kicks though.

Whiffy's in for a shock when she wakes up (yes, Whiffy, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt) - we all thought she'd be the first.

Report
DogMum · 23/08/2006 12:48

Hm Majormoo - might not watch Lost this week then, or maybe I could just fast forward to the bits with Sawyer!
