Start using Mumsnet PremiumUnilateral Hydronephrosis
(1 Post)Hello there, my DIL is 22 weeks pregnant and has just been diagnosed with unilateral hydronephrosis. She's currently in hospital and a treatment plan hasn't been decided on yet. It would seem its a common enough condition during pregnancy but treatment varies depending on the cause - she has just discovered she has a malformed kidney and we assume this is at the root of her problems.
Does anyone know how this is treated pls. I know that asking the Drs would be the obvious thing but she is currently 7 hours away by air, from home, and I don't speak a common language with the medics. and just to add, she is with her family but we don't speak a common language either.
