Scans are starting this week...it'll pick up again then :-)

We are in a bit of a limbo period now. We are still doing well considering we are only just getting to halfway!

Guess I'll be bringing up the tail end of the scan queue again - mine's not until 10 April which feels like an eternity! Still hard to think beyond Harmony test results a week today...

Thanks for new thread. I have also been suffering from heartburn. I suffer badly from indegestion anyway and have to avoid loads of foods but did get cross with DH when he questioned me taking the 1st two tablets in 3 weeks, I normaly drink milk or just get on with it because otherwise I would be on gaviscon every day but I was on a night out and fed up of feeling sicky. Did not know I could get it on prescription though (cheers to my. Doc for informing me!)Seems so fast that the scans are back around, look forward to hearing everyones news

hi Pink&white welcome

I was the same way as you!

How are you doing? Grin

Pinkandwhite · 03/03/2014 17:55

Thanks plentyoffish :-). I've been nervous following a mc last year but I'm starting to feel pretty excited now. I did a prenatal test called the panarama test (just like the harmony test) and I got the results back on Friday showing all looks well.

How are you?

I think I can feel my baby moving. Do you think I could be right or am I imagining things?!

Plentyoffish · 03/03/2014 18:07

aw bless pink&white ive had a few scares this time around with bleeds etc my nerves are shattered!

I have been feeling movement for a couple of weeks now so I'm sure its that great feeling eh?

Report
Pinkandwhite · 03/03/2014 18:13

I also had two early bleeds in this pregnancy, the worrying is pretty exhausting isn't it?!

I'm glad you say that about movement because I've been convinced that's what I'm feeling but when I went to collect my panorama test results I mentioned it to the midwife who told me it'll just be wind! Its a fluttering feeling - nothing like any wind I've ever experienced!

If your 20 week scan is on the 19th, I'm guessing you're a bit ahead of me?

Report
HungryHorace · 03/03/2014 18:21

Hi Pink!

You're right about the worrying being exhausting. I try not to think about the negatives too much, but it's hard, isn't it?

And what you're feeling does sound like baby. Ignore your miserable midwife!

Not much heartburn here yet, thankfully. Not much last time either, just sicky burps towards the end. Nice!

Report
Plentyoffish · 03/03/2014 18:24

exactly don't listen to the midwife, thats exactly what the movement feels like.

Im 17 weeks with baby 2 so due on 06th Aug when are you due?

Report
Pinkandwhite · 03/03/2014 18:36

:-) HungryHorace. It has been hard not to think of the negatives. It's getting quite a bit easier now. I've been so irrational though. It's like I've been worried that if I relax something will go wrong which makes no sense at all! Getting the results back on Friday was a big deal and we had a good scan too. I'd always thought of myself as quite a calm optimistic person before this. I definitely haven't been calm and optimistic for the past 12 weeks!

Plentyoffish - I'm due on the 22nd Aug. This will be my first baby. Our test results showed I'm expecting a girl. I didn't mind at all about the baby's gender but it's actually lovely to know now.

I think I'll just ignore the midwife now!

Girls are awesome, Pink. I've got an 8 month old girl and she's just brilliant :-)

Pink - I'm due the day after you and I think I'm feeling very light movements this week too. I actually just used my Doppler (slaps wrists) and noticed baby was very active, so concentrated hard and prodded a bit and I'm sure I felt very light wriggles in response. First ones, really, so very exciting. I can't wait for them to feel more real!

Congratulations, by the way : )

Hello all, I thought I had movement about 2 weeks ago but nothing since really, I heard 2 heartbeats at 16 week appointment though so know all is okay. My 20 week scan isn't until nearly 23 weeks which feels like an eternity away, 6 weeks to wait, maybe by then I will have decided to find out what they are, I'm not sure!
