Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

I'm due very end of July too. It will be my first and I know they are often late though so I think this is the thread for me :)

I'm excited, scared and hopeful all at once. What symptoms do you have?

Report
Hollyjokes · 15/11/2013 16:59

Hi tallulah and congratulations!

Symptoms so far are nausea that comes and goes, tiredness and I've lost my appetite a bit. How about you?

Do you have a due date from your LMP so we can start a due date list while we wait for others to join us?

Congratulations to you too :)

I have slight nausea (that vanishes when I am full, so I'm eating even though I'm not hungry) incredibly sore boobs, I'm weeing nearly every hour and have the occasional headache. Most annoying is the waking in the night to wee and then not being able to get back to sleep!

I think my due date is 26th July.

I'm still at the POAS every morning stage at the moment, I'm hoping that tomorrow's line will be darker that today's.

Hollyjokes · 15/11/2013 17:36

I'm doing the same thing, I'm still poas every morning to check I didn't imagine it! The lines are finally coming up straight away now although not as dark as I'd like just yet. If it wasn't for the digi test I did then I'm not sure if I'd believe it yet!

Have you arranged your booking in appointment yet? And have you told anyone in real life apart from your DH/P?

Hey ladies,

I'm gonna join as well, due 26th July but pretty sure it will be an august baby. I'm having the same symptoms, tired, loss of appetite etc, but I view them as all very positive signs!

Hope you ladies are keeping well x

Welcome due date buddy :)

I've not arranged anything yet, and haven't even told DH Blush We are testing with a digital tomorrow and he doesn't know about the internet cheapies I've been using Grin

Fingers crossed things continue to go well for all of us.

Aw how exciting! I was planning on telling DH this morning as we had a wee day off work together, but he clicked into my pregnancy app on my iPad and saw that I was 3 weeks and 3 days pregnant!! Not the way I planned on telling him, but it's all good now :-)

Due date buddies - hopefully we'll keep each other sane!! LOL

Talulah how exciting! You'll have to come and tell us all about your DH's reaction once you've done the digi together Smile

Hi babymama! Great to see you here! I'm a recent namechanger as I'm totally paranoid about people I don't yet want to know in real life recognising some of my other posts and then finding me here, silly I know! If you're not sure who I am let me know and I'll pm you Smile

Hi Hollyjokes, I think I know who you are from recent going on's!

So excited for us both!!

Report
Hollyjokes · 15/11/2013 23:12

Phew! I'll keep this name then!

I'm excited for us all too! I confided in my best friend tonight and she was over the moon for us, it was lovely Smile

When are you both going to tell people? I'm hoping to keep it a secret from family/friends until Christmas at least and hopefully not tell work until after 12wk scan. It's going to be really difficult to hide over the Christmas party season though! Confused

Did my digital test this morning and got a Pregnant 1-2 weeks. Cautiously happy, though as I'm 2 weeks exactly from conception I'm now thinking it should have said 2-3 weeks. DH happy, gave me a big hug and asked me if I wanted breakfast in bed Grin

Babymamatobe · 16/11/2013 08:59

Aw that's lovely Talulahbelle! They can be very sweet, when I confirmed with a digi, my DH pulled the covers back, leaned forward and said good morning to my belly!

So far, I've only told my sister, although I'm sure family will guess when I'm not drinking at Xmas, but I'm going to use the excuse that I'm too hungover from the night before LOL but my brother-in-law has already spotted that I'm not drinking any fizzy drinks with caffeine in them!

Holly, I'm the same, not wanting to tell work till after 12 week scan but my job involves a bit of travelling and some quite long hours, so if it's getting too much I might tell my line manager so they understand why I'm not doing as much as I normally do. I'm not prepared to put our little bundle at risk.

Tomorrow is the day AF would be due, I don't know why, but I'm really worried that she'll arrive! I really want to book a private scan at 8 weeks to be sure everything is ok, but DH wants to wait till 12 weeks :-(

Report
Hollyjokes · 16/11/2013 09:10

Aw Talulah, bless your DH Smile Don't worry about the 1-2 weeks thing, maybe it just took an extra day or two for the egg to implant than you thought. I bet if you took another test say Monday it would say 2-3 weeks.

Baby I know the feeling, my AF is due today/tomorrow too. I keep expecting AF to have started every time I go to the loo! I'm going to wait until I'm sure she isn't coming before I call for my booking in appointment.

I got the doctor to confirm yesterday but because it was still early days it was only a feint line so I'm going to test again tomorrow just to make sure!! LOL

Apparently I don't get a booking in appt, she has referred me to the hospital and all I get is a letter with a scan date.

Is it just me or are we kind of left to our own devices until 12 weeks? I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 8 weeks!

Hollyjokes · 16/11/2013 10:53

I tested again today with an IC, the line is still the same as yesterday. I think I'll test again tomorrow or Monday and hope for a darker line then.

Were you going to the doctors anyway baby or was it to confirm your pregnancy? In my area I don't see a doctor at all, I self refer to the midwives and have a booking appointment around 8 weeks, they just go over my medical history and give me my maternity notes file. I think they take blood then too but can't remember what for?! Then yep, that's it till 12wk scan! That seems like ages away right now, doesn't it?

Yeah I already had an appt with the doctor anyway bit spoke to the surgery and they said she'd confirm if I took a urine sample. I don't think I'll last till 12 weeks, so scared something is going to go wrong, I really want to book a private test around 8 weeks, but it's extra outlay just before Xmas!

Hollyjokes · 16/11/2013 11:42

The private scan place nearest to me does early reassurance scans from 7 weeks for £55. Have a google of the private scan places in your area, sometimes they have offers on so you might be able to have a early scan for less money? This early part and the waiting is so difficult isn't it? I went back to the IC I did this morning and the line looks a bit darker than it did earlier, which is a bit reassuring. However, I've got a bit of cramping which feels like pre-AF pains. I've read that lots of women get this but it's still hard not to worry!

It is! I did an asda test this morning and the line was so feint, I'm going to buy a digi to do in the morning. AF isn't due till tomorrow so I know my hcg levels will still be low-ish but I keep worrying about a chemical pregnancy. Fingers crossed tomorrow brings a good result on the digi and no AF!!

I've already phoned the private clinic here but they can't get me a Price until Monday but I definitely want an early scan. I know a couple of people who have mc'd at 8 weeks and I don't think I can go through the next 8 weeks not knowing.

Report
Hollyjokes · 16/11/2013 15:28

Ah I hope the private clinic comes back to you with good news on Monday baby. I might get another digi to do on Monday or Tuesday too to make sure the number of weeks since conception is rising. I didn't have an early scan with DC1 but I'm much more panicky this time around as although I have symptoms, they don't seem as obvious as they did last time, so I might speak to DH about having an early scan too. What does your DH think?

OP posts:
Report
Babymamatobe · 16/11/2013 16:34

DH thinks we should just wait for the 12 week scan, but I really just need to know its progressing as it should. I've read elsewhere that the clinic charges £100, which I kind of grudge paying. There's a clinic about 50 miles away that does it for £55 so might give that one a shot!

I've just been out and bought a digi too!! LOL

I have another digital test (had a 2 pack) I am going to use it next Saturday if I get that far. I keep on getting the fear that I am not pregnant/it's another chemical/my symptoms are vanishing. I definitely feel less sick today, although my boobs are still very sore. I just wish I could relax and enjoy these early days.
I'm going to try and get a doctor's appointment next week and ask for an early scan. I had a ruptured ectopic at the start of the year so hopefully I should be able to. If not I will definitely be paying for a private scan.

It's such a worrying time Talulahbelle, I am feeling the same now that I feel my symptoms have gone. I did feel pretty neaseous this afternoon, but feel absolutely fine now and not tired either!! Hmmm think I'll do an IC tomorrow morning and save my digi for later in the week!

Fx for you x

Ladies, the same thing has happened to me! I haven't felt sick today at all and my boobs still aren't sore (they were killing me by this point in my first pregnancy). My only symptom today has been tiredness, but not overwhelmingly so. I've had cramps on and off too. Will definitely test again in the morning with a cheapie and will get another digi in a few days. I'm so glad you both understand how worrying it is as my DH just keeps saying to me 'it'll be fine!' Not that I want either if you to be worried, but you know what I mean!

I did another IC this morning, and only 2hrs after a 6am wee and drink of water. I got a lovely strong line so am Grin Grin

I feel maybe a little more tired and fluffy headed but that's it for symptoms. I just wish I could FF the next 8 weeks.
